Devs kinda messed up feints in my opinion. The feints shouldve been its own button and shouldve been like a holographic punch like in the anime instead of an instant punch
Takamura once said that no matter how dumb or lame they sound, you need to make excuses to keep yourself up. Otherwise, if you're not making them and admit that your opponent is simply stronger, then you truly give up.
The feint works properly is when you delay pressing m1 abit, it will catch players trying to dodge a heavy attack. Strat works well with slow heavy punches like SMASH, corkscrew, etc.
Dear steel, i doubt you can ever read this but.. You need to memorize light m1's from every style if you wanna perfect dodge, the style you are getting kicked on the end is GHOST, the light m1's always starts with a left jab, the heavy punch too Every style has a pattern, like Smash's heavy's are like 1's and 2's, and chrono's light m1's are left, left, right, left. (Or uhh 1-1-2-1 or 2-2-1-2 or smt) For a simple instruction: Try to memorize light punches on any style possible that you hate or love in order to perfect dodge
the objective of feints are to bait a opponent to dash so they get caught by the jab immediately afterwards, so if you do it right you won't really have a problem with the jab afterwards. (also please try out more styles some are very good,)
Hey man, im the guy who gets beaten up by smash players here to give you tips Your backdash is nerfed so ill leak this strat I made before the backdash update You can move out of their range so when they punch, they dont hit then they enter your rnage which is when you can m2 This works best with bullet m2 due to the nerfed backdash and invisible m2 range which lands crazy counters A few strats i have against ghost and charge: For ghost, blocking immediately after they m1 combo on half stamina or just staying out of range and waste their ghost jab For charge, just stay out of range and keep dashing/m1ing

The ghost jab doesnt have a cooldown but it has more like a meter, the meter fills up the more the ghost user hits and eventually get the ghost jab. So naturally youd wanna avoid getting hit right. Now ghost, unlike other styles, has no highlight when they attack but they do have a huge disadvantage. Their m1 is always a left and the m2 is ALWAYS right similarly to corkscrew. If you know they are gonna m1 then dodge right, and if they m2 then dodge left. same applies for hitman. if they start feinting then uh. Good Luck.

Bad dashes aren't even that bad Slugger: A- with the best damage in the game comes with a pretty hefty price of bad block and bad dashes, however this style is still pretty decent because of the charging up of the M2's (pretty hard to pd cause you gotta guess which charge time it is) and anti heal M1's Hawk: B+ along with slugger this style is one of the only 2 styles to have anti heal M1's it deals good damage, however with no way to effectively get out of danger (it can't backdash) if the player get's overwhelmed they'll be no way to escape Ghost S- after being nerfed what 4 times in a row it's STILL a good style, the lack of highlights on M1's and ghost jab are amazing alone, with decent damage and decent dashes but bad block it's a overall good style Iron Fist B- with the best ultimate damage in the game ( 80% of the opponent's health along with 40% of yours) with VERY bad dashes, ( 1 second cooldown so if you whiff you're toast) very slow jab and heavy startup speed but phenomenal damage (right behind slugger) but self hurting M2's it's good but not amazing FREEDOM: S tier with 3 stances (flicker for jabs, like hitman, smash for good damage and very high guard damage, and whirlwind for overall movement) each one these stances excel at one key component of the game with the best dashes in the game ( I-frames, dash distance, and dash amount) and good damage overall a good freedom player is SUPER powerful, BUT with all these upsides this style has 20% less HP then all other styles and the worst guard durability in the game. it's not S+ but still good.
