I have a love hate relationship with these kinds of songs because they make me zone out really hard and just make me want to float along a lake surface with no responsibilities or worries but then reality hits me again and I remember my worries and responsibilities and I just replay the song over and over again to feel more and more detached from myself because this reality is not worth living in for me.

I wish I could give you some advice, but honestly I’d be a hypocrite if I do, I feel like I’m maladjusted to this society, where morals were honoured and respected. Maybe I’m just getting older and jaded but I’ve seen the rapid decay of love and meaning in relationships in the last 5 years and it just feels like a vast wasteland filled with vapid, 1 dimensional caricatures of what’s trending, these chronically online people with little to no awareness of anything other than TT,IG or twitter. It’s so hard because I don’t want to change just to fit in, but it’s lonely here and I’m convinced that I’ll die alone because I’ll never be understood because I’m just not like what people assume of me. Hey, sorry I just shitbombed your comment, I just saw it and it’s really resonating with me at this point of my life and I guess I really needed to rant, I see that it was 8 months ago and I hope you’re doing better now dude. Honestly seeing how long ago that comment made me realize, we’re all at different stages in our lives, no point in comparing to others because the only one living your life is you. And if you don’t show up for it, you’ll miss out on a lot.. huh

I understand what you mean and how you feel and lemme tell you that even if it feels like no one out there understands you or feels the same way as you, there will be someone that understands and one day you will meet them.
I'm still not doing my absolute best but hey, I'm managing slowly but surely, baby steps is all i can take at the moment to lead myself into a brighter future. As much as i hate this reality, it's one i have to live in and I'll need to find a way to make it worth living in, whether that be through small silly convos, my comfort games and videos, my favorite music and so on. I'll get through this eventually and you will to if you feel stuck in a dark place. Someone will come along and be the light that you need in life to see it all from a different perspective.
Oh and one more piece of advice, try to not cling onto love and relationships too much, focus on self love and taking care of yourself first, then you can come back to seeing how love and relationships look then.
