The city was created by Gutians and Gutians are considered as one of the ancestors of today’s Kurds and the Gutian language was closer to Indo European languages and they weren’t Semitic but Assyrians conquered Erbil but later on the Gutians took it back and like I said Gutians are one of the ancestors of today’s Kurds, which means we took back our city from Invading Assyrians and the city is now majority Kurdish and it’s the Capital of Kurdistan Regional Government and the flag that is raised there is Kurdish and people speak Kurdish and if you speak Arabic the people will kick the hell out of you and at last we Kurds have every right over Erbil unlike Semitics and ancestors of today’s Kurds were the one creating the city not Assyrians or any Semitic nations and the city is now Kurdish and Part of Kurdistan and will always be Inshallah
