Bro I’ve played the whole game in Japanese dub. It made the whole experience so much better. When I hear the English dub it is not bad but not as good as Japanese..
Eter Wael I think sparing him is way more fitting especially because the archer samurai tells you that being a samurai gave him a remarkable life but it also took a life with family away. Even lady adaichi doesn’t kill her sister after she killed her whole family.

Do you know what the Japanese text for the "Our final day together, it is beautiful" part is? I did study a bit of Japanese a few years ago (it was amazing how I managed to understand a few bits here and there even today!) but I can't understand what Shimura says there. I tried transcribing the syllables I thought I understood to hiragana, but I couldn't make any sense of them either, apart for the これで at the start, and the いいsomethingだ at the end...

I chose to spare Shimura’s life. Jin could have killed Shimura and abided to the samurai code, but I felt that defying it for the sake of the people he loved was Jin’s driving force throughout the game.
Exactly! Ppl like to throw out the whole missing the point by not killing him are in actuality the ones missing the point. Sparing him solidifies why jin stuck to the path he took

Jin is a selfless character who made decisions to save and protect everyone else, it’d make sense that he’d want to grant his uncle his dying wish since he loves him. He wouldn’t be doing it for honor, more so love
I’m so glad I’m played this in the Japanese dub it makes it so much more authentic to the time period and does it justice I love the conflict of honor this game it’s beautiful I wanna replay the ending to kill shimura that made tear bro.
it’s always sad to see people rushing through games like I understand they need to or they aren’t interested but it adds so much to have that journey as a player and hopefully you enjoyed the game as much as I did too :) it was amazing
I know everyone is praising the Japanese dub, but it sadly messed up the most iconic line in the game: “You have no honor” “And what is ‘honor’?” “You’re a slave to it” sound WAY better! I still like the Japanese dub though

I always prefer Japanese DUB - but in Ghost of Tsushima the English voice acting is so much more powerful, here at the ending you can feel the emotion in their voice - overall this game is a masterpiece.
This is the first time i much prefer the english dub rather than the japanese one... The english dub put so much emotional in their acting, and it's fit perfectly with the character...
The “spare”. Ending was absolutely a letdown. I beat this once and chose to end him with honor. And I haven’t beat it again. I’m astounded at how little the spare option resonated. Compared to the proper end in my opinion
