Andrew Gaze is the most unassuming, good hearted bloke. Never heard a bad word from him in 30 plus years, so for him to respond like this, she must have really been out of line.
I saw him in a gym once and he wasn’t carrying a towel to wipe down the equipment ..
I saw Liz at the height of the pandemic & instead of wearing approved PPE she had a cabbage covering her mouth & nose. I said excuse me Liz but you do know that, that cabbage will do absolutely fk all to protect you against the latest variant.. you would not believe the arrogance of this woman -> she then told me to try it on and to see for myself

The failure here was Management. You need to apply the rules equally to all. In Aussie the rule of the game is some are almost untouchable and get away with things till you hit the danger zone. Its nothing new.

If Cambage was just an ordinary player none of this would be newsworthy. She however is one of the world's very best players and Australia's only wold class player. Without Cambage the Opals are barely top 10, but with her top 3. If people are accepting of the Opals being also-rans, no problem and move on.

No individual is greater than the team, no matter how talented that they are. From what's been said, Liz Cambage has betrayed a lot of people, but none more so than one of her best friends in Jenna O'Hea. I met Jenna many years ago at a Dandenong Rangers' WNBL match, and she is a lovely person who's very approachable. What you see on television interviews is the real Jenna. Jenna and Liz appear to be like chalk and cheese, so eventually something had to give. Jenna is also the most unselfish team player that I have ever come across in women's basketball. Liz only cares about her own personal ego.
Totally agree, I think this has been coming for a while tbh, I always found Liz to be quite selfish and would throw anyone of her friends under the bus for her own benefit. Not cool.

That's why Liz and Jenna O'Hea are like chalk and cheese. They are exact opposites when it comes to things like humility, unselfishness, and putting your teammates and your country first. Jenna also has a lovely personality, nothing like the egotistical personality of Liz.

I don’t like her attitude (who does?) but honestly - it feels like another case of a sportsperson who if it weren’t for the money/fame/not having to work a 9/5 (and again honestly Liz seems to love when she is able to dominate someone smaller with her size, she will laugh at them I find her pretty disrespectful on the court) they wouldn’t be playing. I’ve seen similar looking things in a couple of men’s players lately and I feel like that could be the case here. I could be wrong 🤷♂️ but I think for Liz it’s far more about not having to work a regular job for regular money type of thing over “love of the game” 🤷♂️ it’s even clearer when you see a guy like Gaze talk about it who bleeds basketball - especially Aussie ball.
