I deleted my X page to preserve my sanity - Chidinma Adetshina

Newly-crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, has revealed that she deleted her X (formerly Twitter) account for the sake of her mental health. This decision comes after Chidimma faced harsh criticism during her participation in Miss South Africa.
The backlash intensified when South Africa's Department of Home Affairs (DHA) disclosed evidence suggesting that Chidimma’s mother may have been involved in fraud and identity theft.
In an interview with Arise 360, the 23-year-old shared that the constant barrage of negative comments became overwhelming, leading her to leave the platform for her well-being. "I had to delete it because it was just too much for me. I’m a comment reader, so I’d spend up to 80% of my day going through every comment," she said. "It became toxic, and removing the app gave me relief."
Although she continues to use Instagram, she mentioned limiting her comment section at one point. Despite the challenges, Chidimma expressed gratitude to her supporters for their continued encouragement.
