I am a shoulder surgeon and have fixed a ton of shoulder dislocations. Trust me, it’s crazy for him to think he could win with his shoulder being that unstable. Even more crazy for him to sacrifice his health for that- every-time the shoulder comes out, the chances of severe arthritis goes up significantly. I will give him this; he is a warrior. Maybe not the smartest one…

He's a totally selfish and irresponsible man. He owed it to the fans and opponent to not fight if he wasn't planning on accepting a loss like a man and shutting up about the injury should he lose. He was obligated to inform the UFC, and he didn't. Shameful.

Tj is self aware enough to acknowledge that his built in excuse, was just an excuse. He didn’t wanna face the fact that he can’t fight anymore and Aljo will win no matter what. He’s saying he WANTED to use the shoulder as a built in excuse, but he now knows it doesn’t matter.

what if the ufc knew about the shoulder and that’s the real reason why they banned fighters from betting…if you’re training with a fighter and his shoulder pops out 20+ times throughout camp it’s a pretty safe bet to bet on the other guy. maybe they heard about the injury but tj didn’t publicly come out with it so they couldn’t make him pull out and it opened their eyes to the possibility of coaches and training partners betting on the opposition when they know their fighter is injured before he steps into the cage

Shoulder injuries are brutal and one of the worst to have because it can drive you nuts always trying to compensate with your other muscles and neck till everything get out of whack. If you dont find a good doctor and do the PT to the tee and stretch everyday for the rest of your life you wont fix the problem. This is truly crazy to hear and has officially proved my point on TJ’s entire career. TJ body is incredibly prone to injury. Throughout his career he has had nothing but injury after injury and the ONLY reason he has been successful in those fights is because of two things.
    1) TJ is a brave mutha he puts it all on the line to get his reward. 2) He is a gear user.
The EPO was used NOT to cut weight that was the excuse but it was really because of his injuries. He needed EPO because it produces more and more red blood cells in order to maintain the body’s current integrity. He also has a camber at his house that helps with this also.
Now that EPO is gone from his system his body’s integrity has finally caught up to him. When it’s all said and done there will be a “Tell all book” that addresses his use with PEDs and his body from years of sports.
His biggest strength is his weakness “PRIDE” and it always comes before the fall. First was the 2 year suspension and the next will be the End of his Career!

    • @stevencoardvenice

Is it just a coincidence that tj and Pico both train with the same strength and conditioning coach Sam Calvita (not sure if you spell his last name that way) and both pulled their arms out the socket. Same arm as well. Also im not 100% on this but I believe t-city trained with Calvita before his last fight and also pulled out his shoulder. There is something to say about maybe these guys are being overtrained there. 🤔

He cheated on whole UFC fans...
If he knew it was getting popped out frequently in training period, why fight?
We could have gotten a better fight with aljo vs Yan or aljo vs suga....

The UFC fans are deserved to be cheated on for following a fixed sport. UFC is WWE 4 CASUALS MONEY. If you want to be the best, you better fight in a real fight promotion. In the UFC, on the other hand, it's all about which fighter can make them most money and not the skill.

Yan and O'Malley was the best fight of the card. Breaking up the best fight on the card would have been bad for all of us.
I highly doubt any of these other matchups would have been so competitive and action packed

Was a BS move. You can't fight injured. The space should've been made for another deserving fighter. Super unclassy TJ. He was never going to win the fight. At this level it's impossible to go into a fight with an injury of that magnitude.
