  • Welcome back the channel!
In this video, I'm exploring the world of AI upscaling with the brand-new AuraSR AI upscaler model. As this is a fresh model on the scene, I had to roll up my sleeves and create a custom ComfyUI node to test it out!
    We'll be exploring:
The performance and quality of the AuraSR upscaler in various scenarios
A detailed look at the strengths and weaknesses of the model
Join me as we test the limits of this exciting new AI upscaler and see if it lives up to the hype! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more in-depth tech explorations.
    ** UPDATE**
Someone else did the node as well... so I guess I do not need to finalize mine :)

Yes, good idea! This model can benefit from more training for sure.

Hey great video, suggest your findings and improvements to the node developer then they might implement it in an update

Hi nice video! Thanks for the node, I only have one question: when i import your ComfyUI Node I only have AuraSRNode without scale factor... Did I miss something?

No you are not missing something... The link I posted is not my node it was from a user who had also done the node for comfyUI. As I mentioned in my video I could not find a node at this time so I created my own. The model is fixed at 4x so this is why it makes no sense yet to offer a scale factor. Scale the image before hand and then use the AuraSR scaler.

What PC do you need for this?
    I have 4080 mobile with 12vram and 32 ram,it can handle it?
If not will it work with AMD?

      That sounds perfectly fine.

Very interesting that the PNG upscaled properly and the JPG did not.

Yep, the model seems to pattern match those JPG artifacts as "information". But as I showed this can be solved right now by using a JPG Artifact detection filter which fixes this.

I just tested that node it doesn't seem to work, it just enlarges a blurry image

I did not test this node myself as I mentioned in my video I created my own comfyUI node. Did you make sure you installed the AuroSR model as they suggested? do you use the Windows Portable? Then just go into the python embed folder and run the suggested PIP install.
