Honestly i can imagine this. Perhaps Whitebeard died as well and Ace blames himself because Whitebeard only came because he got captured, and he only got captured because he disobeyed Whitebeard and went after Teach. So in Ace's eyes, he caused Whitebeard death and felt unworthy of being a Whitebeard Pirate, so he joined the Straw Hats because he had nowhere else to go.
After watching this video, why do I want to see the live action version of ONE PIECE change events and reunite Luffy, Sabo and Ace together one more time before Marineford ??
