- TMB bank have launched a new brand vision "Make THE Difference" by making a film to inspire people to start thinking differently. With a hope that they will start to Make THE Difference to their own world. It doesn't have to be big, but a little can create positive changes. This film is based on a true story. In 1986 a football team that lived on a little island in the south of Thailand called "Koh Panyee". It's a floating village in the middle of the sea that has not an inch of soil. The kids here loved to watch football but had nowhere to play or practice. But they didn't let that stop them. They challenged the norm and have become a great inspiration for new generations on the island.

"Panyee FC" short film just won a Grand Prix award ! at Taotie Film Festival held in Beijing, China on Sunday 28th September. On behalf of all the film crew, we would like to thank for all great receptions from around the world and big thanks to all fans on TH-cam as well.
This is such a wonderful achievement we'll never forget.

Our squad was restricted from practicing football during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina.. so we "calculated" how the sniper bullets couldn't reach us, then setup small goals on a street and game on!
One of the first things in a long time, that was worth the time to watch.
It was the inspiring story of the Tenacious Islanders.

Terrific story!!! You have to wonder if their teams in the last 3 seasons had won too. Some of the best things our species has done over the years to to "Make something out of nothing". In music example, you have Steel Drums, and Rap... Pretty amazing stuff :-)

The story told in this video should be a lesson for us all in this modern times... It's a clear example of personal growth, about how the human being can achieve what he wants with illusion, effort and passion.
People that, like these guys, is able to change and transform reality in this way, making his dreams come true, diserves all my respect...

After being capticated by this myself, I was sure to show my 3 boys (who all play themselves) this video. I could tell how touched they were as they sat there silently and watched this story unfold ,each with a lump in his throat. Inspiring indeed! :)

EVERYONE USE THIS, THIS IS MY THIESIES The characters are really hard working. Evidence to support this is that they made a whole entire football pitch by themselves. They also had to build it in the water so they also would of probably given up pretty quick but they didn't. In the text/video The author is trying to prove that you have to work for what you get. This is exactly what the pfc kids did. They didn't give up and actually won 6 times in a row! Another example is that they made their own football pitch and got really good on it. They worked hard and got better so they got what they deserved in a good way.

What a truly inspirational story. These young footballers epitomise the highest ideals of true sportsmanship. They are an inspiration to us all!

Courage, ingenuity, creativity, teamwork, perseverance and determination, are just a few of the descriptors, which come to mind when I viewed this video clip. After watching this video clip, I became so overwhelmed with joy, I could hardly contain myself! I feel truly blessed to have been touched in my spirit by these young children. Like 7 or 6 years ago in preschool, my teacher showed us this. Now that I found the video again it made me cry because I have always loved soccer and I always loved this video. This really inspires me to make changes.

Awesome story!!! Very inspiring. I'm an Aussie and we live on Koh Samui and I play football with young Thai guys on public courts. Their foot skills are unbelievable :) It won't be long before we start seeing them in the big leagues.
