    One of the most beautiful organs in Europe. (seen it)
    One of best acoustics also. (heard it)
    One of Bach's great works.
    Played and registered gorgeously, with clear articulation and all musical lines coming out well.
    What's not to like?!!!

    EXCELLENT ! And it's fast the right way because it's VIVALDI'S Music , Bach made a genial transcription 🎉🎉🎉

      Agreed! Feet work as hard as hands, and with similar artistic skill. Should be colorfully displayed....as we enjoy with this exceptional musicianship!

    Interesting little organ. Bright and clear - just right for baroque music. Interesting to see how ornate they keys are. Particularly the new style shoes the organist is wearing. - and why not, that is real "touch Sensitive". Nicely done, interesting interpretation. Pierre-Francois - Thank you for bringing this to the public. Delightful to hear these lovely little organs

      Agreed! Feet as well as hands are tactile. Let them be free to function....and colorfully!!

    What a beautifully maintained and complete baroque organ. So enchanting to hear young musicians such as Benjamin enthusiastically and colorfully embracing music from this era and taking appropriate pauses to reregister each movement.

    Wonderful, especially to hear a fine organist playing baroque music on a baroque-style instrument. How much different most music of this period would be if baroque composers had classical or modern organs. Compliments on doing these recordings so well. Benjamin has a fluidity of playing that makes this so enjoyable. Please tell him so.

    Pierre-François unfortunately your email had no video so this is wonderful I lived in Switzerland in the early 90’s but I don’t think Benjamin was around then I spent every weekend crisscrossing the country listening to some great organs but I never heard this one sadly. What fabulous playing it makes you want more pretty rare to hear this standard of playing where I am, many thanks.

    Dear Pierre-Francois: Thank you so much for this video. I really appreciate all the videos you are making. It really gives us a great sense of the sounds of these different organs, and the playing techniques used. Please know how much this means to those of us who live across the pond.

    In the video description it seems that TH-cam's copyright-checking system thinks this performance is by someone else and presumably is putting advertisements on the video. So you may want to contact TH-cam about this.

      Pierre-François Dub-Attenti i deal with this stuff all of the time! Once it confused the last chord of the Durufle Prelude and Fugue with the Final from Vierne 1!

    Your video clarified one doubt I had for a long time about this organ: it has as the highest note in the pedals the d³ and not c³ as it was incorrectly said to me.

    Orgue magnifique inspiré d'un facteur prestigieux , mais lutrin d'aujourd'hui ! (il était temps ...)
    Pour les chaussettes, même style que Michel Bouvard ; mais lui garde ses chaussures ...
    Un grand merci à 16-8-4 pour tout ce que vous proposez.
    Je dis souvent que vous êtes aux organistes (surtout de St Sulpice) ce que François Carbou était à Pierre Cochereau .
    ( de beaux souvenirs années 70 mais qui ne me rajeunissent pas ! )

      @BenjaminRighetti 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Why? It's more fun to do everything alone... which is the goal of all organists, in fact! ;)

    • @ravenmischke8905
      @ravenmischke8905 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Benjamin Righetti Not trying to sound snobbish or disagree with you, but is that your own notion or have you heard or read that somewhere, and if so, where did you?
      And if indeed it is your own notion, would you care to expand on it? Why do you feel like an organist "should" take care of the registration himself?
      Lovely playing by the way! I'm a violinist myself and have played this concerto myself a few times. I love the organ however, and it's a joy hearing this piece played on one. I didn't know Bach made a version for organ. :-)
      Best wishes from Amsterdam!

      If you read French, Yves Rechsteiner talks in this article about Knecht's method, which apparently offered options to do everything alone! ;)
