The third stage, your taking back your powerplant, factories, and kicking out of the steel mill. Then this stage, the "eye of the storm" where you push the enemy into full retreat OUT of the city. The next two stages you're destroying their little hive/lair, then kick them off the planet... Well until Col Bahamut has Professor Mandrake harvest alien DNA to attempt to create his own army.

The American version is super hard and one must be a die hard Hard Corps player to complete the game using only three continues with 3 lives for each continue... unless you acquire 1ups. Even then, there is no power bar like in the Japanese version, and there are multiple bosses for each stage.

In both Contra and Super C, Red Falcon's invasion was contained either on an island or a military base. In Contra III, Red Falcon done fucked up and NUKED Neo City. The game's dramatic sense might be deep rooted in anti-nuke sentiment from the Japanize designers, since they are likely decedents of survivors from the attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They used art and music to reflect the horror of war ("The Alien Wars") and what dramatic feats every Japanize resident must do to take back their home from an overwhelming invading force.

Remastered? More like remessed over. The bass is too strong to where the other instruments (albe-they synthasized) are drowned out. Plus the speed is increased to where the original feel is lost in an attempt to amp up the excitement - it doesn't work for me. 😒👎🏿

I know how to survive that gun at the end of the ship you have to first go up to it and the then once you hear the gun shoot you go away from it
I always felt both awesome, weird and hilarious the miniboss fight vs the ninja alien dude that comes to the chopper out of nowere.
This stage was Contra 3's equivalent of the Turbo Tunnel
