I think my board is now the brave little toaster because I failed to fasten the volume /power docking pins to it. Instead docked the Lightning pins and fastened the battery clip assembly on the board. As mentioned without the power volume's own dock connected? would this have caused the heating the board suffered faceup near lower half section of the board?? In my second attempt, I connected the volume / power connector and Lightning ,then at last the battery , no other peripherals LCD, Camera, just the main three, Lightning , Bower, Pattery? no overheating or smoke from first and second attempt were visible. Second attempt, the heat on topside of the board diminished substantially assuming the board took the grunt of the current passing through the capacitors from not securing the power/volume dock on the visible upper edge from first attempt, after leaving them out. Im assuming the board fried somewhere not too critical for it to boot once repaired.
My question for the newest channel repair guide instructor, is "What was my fatal error if I had been given a job under your repair shop, and I could have only made two choices on the iPhone XR. First Choice: connect the volume/power flex pin connectors to the board plus the lighting assembly before the battery. Or there usually is no danger in leaving the power volume dock unconnected since its not really serving to create a ground terminal when the lighting and then then battery are set in place. In your video guides you use a special device its Red and displays current from connected iPhone from Battery and lighting dock clips, since there both coming out of one USB line to your device, I don't see how the danger is in the power volume docking pin not being connected. In the case of the XR, I never used the device or anything that you promote via this channel, since I don't get how I could've been at fault. If your device is not sold in stores or a person on a public street, and I looked online its sold out!!
Short question: When board is not connected to power / volume flex assembly, do iPhone XRs become fried if only two assembly flex modules are connected to the board, in this case, only lighting and battery assembly to cause the board to become fried for sure???

The shorted board is drawing so much current you could probably find out which actual component is shorted just by touching the components.
The component which burns your finger is the guilty one. Often you can see, and smell, the shorted component right away.

Same. Trying for a bootleg LTE hotspot/router but don't want a lithium explosion in my closet.

@@justsopuffer5600 Yeah, that's a better solution, but I already have the iPhone, which is why I'm watching a video on iPhones :). The wifi chip heats up and shuts the phone down so it's otherwise useless to me.
