The Alma Mater matters a lot in building the personality and life of a person. Language and other things like that are not as important as the environment,passion and the learning or intellect building. He has given such a true picture. I respect his words and wish that a school or an institution be built on the strong foundations to earn the outstanding results.

These schools were not meant to generate nerds but leaders in every field including sports. The British were conniving people and ruled a large part of the subcontinent for mainly their gains, nevertheless any fair individual will mention they had some great qualities; had some great intellectuals, were brave and had a relatively good sense of fair dealing. They did leave some world class schools in the subcontinent, such as Aitchison, Mayo, Lawrence School Sanawar and Lovedale, Doon, Bishop Cotton Simla, etc. I think the best way to proceed now for these schools is to take the Best of the East and Best of the West. Often a product of such schools makes his or her presence felt without even speaking! Nevertheless, let such schools teach modesty to their students as well.

Problem is that Urdu is a language enforced on various regions. Real local language of Punjab is Punjabi, not Urdu.
