    A little tip for anyone watching this. Instead of chugging with your right hand and working the mouse with your left. Or tweak a little then play, then tweak some more and play.
    You can use the recorder right there on the interface to record yourself playing the riff and any changes you make to the settings will be reflected in real time during the playback.
    Record the riff a few times then set your guitar down and work out the tone. Dont forget to save it when your done. Good luck.

    Man, this was impressive. I can't honestly say I heard much difference at the end. And I've never touched the rack EQ before so that was a good insight. Messed with the graphic
    a little, but never really know what I'm doing there lol.
    Had it for a year or so and I've learned a lot, but there's still a lot to learn. My knowledge of gear was 'distortion pedal + tone knobs on amp" and that was it. Never owned a tube amp before etc. Total noob. So learning about the actual gear and how to use it translates into using the software Ive found, mostly.
    So thanks for the video, really helpful.

      I’ve checked it out and had a look. I can honestly say that you can use the current software and come up with a tone that’s just as good. It’s always nice to have custom gear and nice visuals but the sound can be replicated

    dude you just made my day....followed your instructions/settings and now riffing out.
    I now know what the rack is for.....alot to learn in this software...kinda daunting.
    you explained it very well.epic stuff thanks for the video

    I gotta say: thank you for this video, man.
    Before i saw it, i was stuck with Bias AMP and Bias FX matching guitar tones, to get way too midrangy sort of sound. It's an obnoxious "digital" sound, i've been trying to get rid off with post EQ after i record the guitars.
    But yesterday i just encountered this video and Amplitube 4 seemed too interesting.
    So i tried to find some other videos to view this software interface, and i got really surprised, the sound was so real, i felt like i was in a studio.
    I just bought Amplitube 4 (and downloaded Custom Shop) and it's friggin' nuts!

      That’s awesome man, there’s some great tones in there. I can loose hours fiddling with tones. I’d love to see how many days I’ve lost in amplitube over the years.

      I recently had a similar experience. Played Bias for years until I tried ToneStack and Amplitube. I don't play Bias anymore. To me, it sounds very harsh and unnatural. Also got the iRig Stomp I/O and love it.

      Wow, so i'm not the only one!
      After i posted this comment i stayed all night playing with the amps and configurations. It was a really satisfying experience.

    With Parametric EQ, we were taught to remember "Hi Q, low width. Low Q, high width." That's referring to how wide the boost is, either a big bulge, or a sharp spike in the spectrum. The equivalent on a Graphic EQ would be making a bathtub scoop with all of the sliders (low Q) versus just using one slider (high Q).

I'm getting a 8 channel interface either focusrite 18i20 or the presonus 1821 ? Anyone have both and like one more that the other?

    Hey Lambshopper, thanks for the detailed video. What headphones do you like? I’ve been chasing down all sorts. Best volume with 38ohm. Not sure if it’s worth going to 80 ohm and buying a headphone amp?

    I have a question, If I buy only the Mesa Boogie Plug in, does AmpliTube4 work? Or do I need the Standart version plus the Mesa Boogie plug in? Thank you for answering 😜💪

    • @LambChopper678
      @LambChopper678  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the basic amplitube is like a free version. I found the best pack is the amplitube metal software. Has a good sounding Marshall, 5150 and a dual rectifier that is pretty good. I’d get that and the Mesa pack down the track or just the mkiv on its own.

    • @LambChopper678
      @LambChopper678  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would probably steer towards STL TonHub or Bias FX as they’re not as intimidating and have an online cloud where you can download presets from 1000’s of users. Less time tinkering and more time playing

      @@LambChopper678 someone told me the neural stuff is like the best

    • @LambChopper678
      @LambChopper678  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rudy Castillo Theres loads of great sims out there but they’re individual amps mostly. I thought you were after an all in 1 package. I’ve found the Archetype Nolly to be one of the finest sims I’ve ever used. It’s the best 5150 tone I’ve heard. The new Gojira plugin looks amazing.
      Softube’s Kerry King plug-in is amazing as is their Marshall ‘59 super lead.
      For Boogie tones - Mercuriall do Reaxis which is the famous Mesa triaxis for your desktop. They’re my go to favorites for each amp.
      Hope that helps

    • @LambChopper678
      @LambChopper678  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rudy Castillo www.Mercuriall.com and look for the Reaxis plugin. To make it work you need an audio interface and headphones or studio monitors.
      I recommend focusrite solo or 2i2 for starting out. Great clear signal and easy to use.
      For headphones I use Roland RH-300 but any studio over ear headphones will sound good.
      A lot of people expect this to all run back through your guitar amp but it doesn’t work that way.
      Let me know if you have any trouble and send me an email if you need some presets for whatever software you end up buying
