Truly a dream come true, congratulations Scott. I hope you’re also successful in saving Lake Okeechobee. My home lake is Lake Cataouatche, that’s in Bayou Segnette State Park, Westwego Louisiana. That is on the Westbank of New Orleans. The Bass Pros don’t come here anymore because it is a mess down here with some people putting up gate’s thinking they own the water ways. Last Bassmaster tournament held here was one by Kevin Van Damme and the one thing he said about our water was to take care of it. The problem we’re having here now is salt, water intrusion. It’s killing all of the vegetation. No grass no bass. They are putting in another freshwater diversion from the Mississippi River in Lafitte, Louisiana. We’re hoping that it’s not too late, so much of the marsh is gone that it my not be able to recover.

I love watching these full feature film style videos with both Scott's and Matt. It's neat to see their camaraderie in spite of competing inherently against one another. As always, the editing and filming of this was absolutely incredible quality. Whoever the videographer/editor is, needs a raise. I don't care if that person's making 1 mil a year, he/she still needs a raise!😄

To watch these 3 men compete against each other including the whole elite field makes for unbelievable content on what really happens on 3 completely different prospective. Brothers till the end and it's a treat to see. Starting off at Scott's home lake the big O was great to see. Look forward to more memories to come from these 3 and their amazing film crew!

I was down there during the two week span of MLF/ Bassmaster Elite practice. When I saw the sugar cane smoke, It brought back alot of the smells, sounds, and effort it took me to figure those bass out that week! I finally did well flipping mats in the river. Little did I know at the time, the tournament was going to be won in the river!

hey Scott, I'll be coming to Lake Okeechobee to fish but I do not have a boat or anything, do you have any recommendations on who I could contact to fish with, I like to tick off the best lakes in every state I visit when I come from south africa to América. hopefully i can come right, i dont mind paying or anything, joining someone for a day would be great and a big learning opportunity. i will be there between the 20th to the 26th of December.

I got into physical fitness and eating healthy. After 5yrs of meal prep and all the bs that goes with dieting. I went and signed up with a meal prep service. Easiest diet i have ever been on. Healthy, fresh prepared meals. Throw it in the microwave 3 times a day. Gaining muscle and losing fat
I grew up in South Florida and cut my teeth on the Big O and enjoyed every moment on it. I left in 1982 when I joined the military and want to get back down there if nothing more than to shake hands with an old friend

I take at least one trip every year to Florida, beginning on the Big O for a few days, up to Headwaters, up to Toho, over to Orlando’s Fab5. Man, I can’t get enough of it down there! Soon, I will move to central Florida, maybe down to Chobee area. My obsession with fishing can only be satisfied by doing it every day, all day. I can’t get enough. Im 50 now, and an avid kayak angler. I’ve been looking for ways to earn a living as a kayak guide there, possibly even traditional guiding. What a special place you live in brother! I LOVE these vids, and your Dad is one of my great heros!

New here so I'm confused. This video came out 4 weeks ago...but it's the 1st event of the 2023 season? Wasn't that in February?
We release these videos a few weeks after the tournament in 4-5 episodes. We decided to compile the episodes into a “film” and release them before the 2024 season

Nice haul! But I gotta do my due diligence…. Oscar… please if you’re going to be releasing the speckled trout, take the glove off and wet your hand before grabbing it, as well as the bump board wet it. Grabbing that trout with that dry glove is destroying his slime coating which is super bad for trout! That slime protects them from lesions and diseases… now when someone else catches that trout, it’ll have scaring on its back from where you grabbed it with a dry glove… Enjoy what we have available to us, but conserve it anyway you can as well!
