This is impressive! One small question: you seem to avoid a couple of rooms with unnecessary upgrades. But why did you spend time on getting the mineral detector then?
One of the gold star requirements is I believe 20k total money collected; I watched a commentated speedrun and they mentioned the mineral detector is for sweeping back through the final zone in one go to get the remaining cash needed for the gold star, the routing takes care of equipment upgrades. He's just collecting cash to hit 20k at a certain point.
This run is amazing! Can you answer me if they have made a tas for this game, because I never see one. Edit: I am also aware that there is a tas for the second game.
