I usually think sissy bars look silly, but yours looks good... it's proportionate, not stupidly long like some are. Either way, function over form. Nice buy.
I also have the same double arch sissy bar from Dean Speed for my 2020 Softail Standard, along with their Skinnys handle bars, 2 inch tank risers, and recently the rear sliders/footpegs. Mykah and his crew over there in Arizona do excellent work on the products, quality and price you can't beat in my humble opinion.
@@dadwithabike that’s what I need it for. I could not find a bag to fit my luggage rack without some type of sissy bar support! Besides the Indian one that holds practically nothing lol
@@sprinklestexas9573 I use a couple depending on how long I'm gone. My typical setup these days are my Reax Trident and my two Ends Cuoio Tomahawk saddlebags.
Looks great! I have an 18 Bobber that I am waiting on a Dean Indian chief Skull 20" sissy, 8" lowball mini apes and a Saddlemen step up. Hope it looks as good as yours! I see you have the speed plate holder, looks really good. I live in San Antonio. Ride the twisted sisters alot.
Looks good, man. Whole bike looks great. Had the stock/Indian seat rest for my wife which was awesome until we installed the Corbin seat (a must have). Now it’s a butt rest...
Thanks for helpful video As far as I know, Dean Speed has two type sissy bar 'Wicked' and 'Classic' Do you know what's difference of two models? If so.. let me know (Dean speed hasn't answered haha)
I went with the 24", double arch with 6 pak rak. I love it. Then had him do a custom 10" handlebars, based on his Matadors bar, that I put on last week. The ride is so much better, I'm not hunched over the tank now. Did you go gloss of flat black with the crash guards?
Bike looks great man..waiting on my 20" for my highball, over 6 weeks now but cant wait. Got the kuryakyn deadbeat as well so its nice to see how it looks on there..great vid🤘
Great channel and content. Is that the gloss black? I just ordered the Matt black but I am getting the Indian luggage rack. Is that gloss? Does your sissy bar finish match the Indian rack? Thanks!
Yes, mine is gloss black and the luggage rack itself will be gloss. The sissybar also is gloss; however, dean speed does the sissy bar and he can customize it to your liking. Enjoy the bike man - you'll love it!
I know it's an old video but i got my sissy bar yesterday and I swear, I can't manage to align the holes and when I think i do the bolt feels SUPER hard to tighten. Got any tips? I feel dumb that I can't mount it
Wow, it shouldn't be that tight they should just line up. What I do is put the front bolts on first, then the back. But ... They should just line right up. I would also give Dean Speed an email just in case
Hrm, mine are 8" so may not be much different and it also depends on the overall look you are going for as well. I will be on the hunt for some longer bolts on the right side to hold my saddlebag though.
They are easy to install. You simply take two bolts out from the forward foot controls, the crash bar goes behind it and then you re-install the bolts and controls. It's a 10 minute job
So, you can keep the bag as long as you use longer bolts. As for the regiment - I was never in any of the Ranger Regiments and didn't do RASP, I was sent to Ranger school for the leadership aspect of it. So .. tabbed, not scrolled.
@@killernanny4315 The rack is the OEM one, the only other aftermarket rack I've seen is the one from Hepco and Becker. But yeah, you'll need to get the bolts yourself. You can order them pretty cheap on Amazon. Just get M8 bolts with a 1.25mm thread pitch
I'm interested in general opinions about the sissy bar being added. Love it .. hate it?

I’m planning on riding to Sturgis 2021, from Temecula area. I have a bobber also. Just ordered the my dean speed parts
So worth it. This was my first trip to Sturgis and the riding was epic and the sissybar was a life saver for me.
I have the same setup and just got my sissy bar in! Thanks for the video! We are installing it this weekend 🙌🏼

Can u still install the side saddle bag if u wanted to ?

Hi, Do you have a video putting your cras bars??
Sadly I don't. The install process is pretty straight forward though
Ok, thanks 👍🏼👍🏼

I went gloss all the way since the bike is gloss. I think as the paint ships and the gloss fades I'll wrap the bike - but I'm a couple years from that

Do you have a video attaching those crash-bars? I just ordered a set.
I don't but they are very easy. Once you get them hit me up and I can walk you through it.
Can you put your side pouch back on with the sissy bar?
Sure can. Just need longer bolts.
Are those "LED" light around your headlights?
They are - but it's part of the headlight. I got this from Eagle Lights ... their "Halo" light.
Did you put anything between the bar mount and the finish? Such as felt or plastic rings? I’m curious if it’ll affect the paint if I don’t do that.
It doesn't mount flush. It comes with spacers to keep it off any metal or matte parts.
@@dadwithabike that’s odd, mine didn’t come with any. Uh oh
@@Austin6611 yeah I'd ping them. You can also go to a hardware store and get some.
Would this Sis fit on a 2017 Victory Octane? I mean, it's pretty much a "Scout" so....🤔
This one, no. But they do make them for the octane also.
@@dadwithabike Thanks! I want this exact style. I will check into it!! 👍
Where did you get the tank decal?
From a fellow member on the Indian Scout Bobber facebook group.
I like that sissy bar, but I'am not sure about how it will look with 10" handlebars, also I want to keep my saddlebag
Hrm, mine are 8" so may not be much different and it also depends on the overall look you are going for as well. I will be on the hunt for some longer bolts on the right side to hold my saddlebag though.
How do you like the 18 inch height on your sissy bar? Interested in getting one but can't decide between 18 or 20 inches. Thanks man!
If I could do it again, I'd get the 20" to be honest. The 18" is fine but I tend to need a tad bit more room.
@@dadwithabike thanks for the recommendation!
