But fr I never really used mods (the closest I got was adding more animals and furniture...) but ive gotta give them credit all of these look like they must've taken a lot of work to make- I'd probably hate playing most of them though especially having to unlock my inventory?!?!?! Mine is always full of junk i wouldn't be able to cope 💀

I have fond memories of the Voltz modpack way back in the day. I don't remember what version it was for, but certainly before 1.12. I had no clue what I was doing, but I had fun in creative building giant bases loaded with antimatter missiles and power suits ready for nonexistent threats.

0:19 blightfall!?!? If I had a nickle for every time a mining game had a world eating infection and the peice of content that added the infection thing was called [word for sickness]fall, I'd have 2 nickles, which isn't a lot but it's strange that it happened twice.

2:58, bro malisis doors actually hit me with the most nostalgia for some reason lol, remember seeing one of those doors in someones video and searching the mod down for hours and then not realising I needed to have malisis core or whatever it was called.

Given my name... gonna have to go with Tekkit Classic, it is like, the OG pack in my eyes. It's what got me into Minecraft.
i really liked playing Tekkit Classic on a Skyblock-Map with 5 additional Islands. And everything you had in the Chest was a Transmutation Table with an Tome with all Item. In this version Cobblestone and a Slab had the same EMC-Value and so you could double Cobble and your available EMC for anything else. It was fun creating all kinds of machines to create an infinite amount of Energy

My Favorit is Blightfall. I played this a lot back in the day and also started a new run in the pandemic. The world and the Story are really unique in all of the Modpacks I played so far. The cleanup of the whole map was very satisfying, to just have more and more building space the further you got. I really wished where was a Blightfall 2 in a modern Version, because it's somewhat dated nowadays. But sadly without a Mod that has something like the Taint from Thaumcraft is wouldn't be the same.
The new deep dark is kinda similar to the taint from thaumcraft i think right so maybe with that there can be a new or different version
Don’t know if you can consider this an old mod packs I don’t know when it first came out but enigmatica 2 expert is one of my favorite tech mod packs it has a good quest book the pack is complicated but not something so complicated that you just get lost in the recipes but intricate enough where you can’t just instantly crafted anything you want even in the late game

blightfall is my all-time favorite modpack and I always go back to playing it, one I wished was on here though was Regrowth, I have fond memories of playing it and watching direwolf20's playthrough of it back in lord knows how long ago
My personal favourite was madpack 3 I still revisit it sometimes that was and still is one of the most fun modpacks
I play 1.12.2 to this day, made my own custom modpack to play eith friends. Tekkit was my favorite back in the day

Oh, yeah, 1.7.10 is the Minecraft version I started to learn Tinker's Construct mod and the addons which added materials from other mods. 🙂
I remember I played Awakening, a modpack which had unique mining levels, own resource pack and well balanced crafting recipes of well known mods.
Although I didn't finished that modpack, it's still a great modpack to learn and use magic and tech mods' contents. 🙂
Enigmatica 2 expert is an amazing pack; it's a modpack that if you know modded mc on 1.12 well enough you can blaze through in a few weeks' time on and off.
Or take hundreds of hours if you don't.
I stopped thinking about the difficulty of modpacks after I found my favorite one. It's called DDSS and I think it would be better if I didn't go through it several times, but spent a bunch of hours somewhere else.
Big fan of Gregtech New Horizons, it probably has the most effort put into it of literally any modpack ever

That one mob, alongside blue Buzzwole, is a big part of why I don't like Alex's Mobs. It's just not for me, I tend to prefer things that actually feel like they fit the base game.
(That being said, stuff like Blightfall is cool, even if it doesn't feel like Vanilla at all. Probably cause it just becomes it's own thing at that point)
as much as alex's mobs is a cool mod, it adds creatures I just straight up hate that make me no longer put it in my modpacks

My all time nostalgia modpacks are FTB Lite (1.4.7) and Tekkit Classic (1.2.5). For Tekkit Classic I can only recommend the Skyblock Map made by SexyDex
Tekkit and Hexxit are what got me interested in this game, so those are my top picks
Stone block one and Stone block two are so good ones one of the first modpacks I have ever played

My favorite packs are: project ozone 3 on titan, nomifactory ceu, ftb infinity evolved expert(this is packs period, not just new packs. I like quest expert packs with gated progression and that just doesn’t exist in modern mc as far as I can tell)

Project Ozone 2 and 3, and Galactic Science. I used to play on MineYourMind's Galactic Science server and finished the pack. It's a bit grindy, but it's really fun!
Edit: the original CrackPack and TPPI (Test Pack Please Ignore) were really fun too.

Crazy Craft is definetly a great old modpack too, I greatly remember DanTDMs playthrough of it with ThnxCya and ThinkNoodles. Great times

Man I still love playing 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 the best. The newer versions do have some mods that I really love like create and ars nouveau, but you really can’t beat old mod packs. I’m still trying to beat divine journey 2 even to this day lol
I think Forever Stranded is one of best survival packs out there

I made a mod pack for 1.12.2 quite complete with story and so on, but for legal reasons, such as containing mods that are not in curse forge, I can't share it through any other means than directly.
When described, this modpack sounds pretty good.

Stoneblock is a pretty og modpack that used to be very popular at some point. You should 100% check it out if you haven't already. Also one of my favorites
My favorite modpack is anything with Orespawn in it.
My absolute favourite was fossil craft (i think that was its name?) its not really a mod pack, but a single mod. Little me didn't know the difference back then though

Crazy craft might not be one of the best og mod packs but it is definitely the most nostalgic for many people and I think it’s really fun but I haven’t played a ton of older mod packs so I wouldn’t know how it compares

i used to play hexxit 1 and both tekkit or tekxit or whatever it's spelled and i played blightfall as well

one of my favorite modpacks were sevtech because of how you go from unga bunga caveman to going to space (still havent beaten it though)

Not 1.7.10, but I always loved the Blood and Bones modpack. the OG hardest mod pack ever made. Lycanites, Tinkers only for tools, food problems, it was a ton of fun

i was playing on my serv with mowzies and alex's mods a couple days ago and encountered two orcas hunting down a sperm whale by the shore, then i got black hole pulled by sirens on a rock 50 blocks away

RAD is one of my favorite mod packs (it’s 1.12.2)
It's definitely not a classic, but I had a custom mod pack I made for 1.16.5 with tons of older mods (advent of ascension my beloved) and a mc creator avarita that I sunk 200+ hours into

love this, such nostalgia packs, for me 2 really get me: Crash Landing and Agrarian Skies. Because I've watched and rewatched videos series of these modpacks from a youtuber i really like many times. Does anyone remember a modpack that was about you having a factory and having to complete deliveries through the hardcore quest book, that had thaumcraft, the straw golens, ender lily seeds and quicksilver was the money? If so, does anyone know how to play it?

modern minecraft is absolute fucking baby mode compared to what people were doing in 1.7.10
"If thats even possible" it is totally possible to finish thaumcraft! you finish thaumcraft when you start having stress nightmares about the research system!
