Had the game back on the PS1, played it using my Madcatz wheel. Game was fantastic, wheel was dreadful. I found this game so much harder than Gran Turismo. I was genuinely nervous before the start of each race, especially fast tracks like Thruxton. Thanks so much for bringing back wonderful memories from a quarter of a century ago.
one of the few ps1 racing games where the cars were broken and very well done for the time, I also remember that it was the only game where the wheels of the cars were seen turning and not static on splitscreen playing with someone, that for the time it was a tremendous attention to detail or graphic quality
@@philhindle4492 Really?? That's amazing! This game was ahead of its time in so many ways and the attention to detail is mind boggling even 25 years later. I was so hooked on this game and I liked it even better than Gran Turismo from a realism standpoint (GT1 came out the same year).
It was Really difficult for its time. I haven't got a PS1 Console but bit similar to this Game but better is Toca Race driver 2 for PSP. It's a Game ported from PS2 to UMD Disc. I got a Premiere version of it. But let's get back to Toca 2. We've been played it with my RIP Brother. The Audio it's a Kind of Miracle. A main Theme and the Car Sounds. And the Race Engineer. It's One thing that Gran Turismo haven't got. But I like GT. In General I like An Old Sim Racing Games.
Wow. Played the PC Format demo to death with a Voodoo 1 installed on family PC. From Toca to Dirt to GRID to Rally to F1. This OldBadGamer is too old now for it all. Prefer watching :) GG's.
you found it hard!! that's because you must not have played Toca on PS2, that game is insanely difficult, not even putting it on easy the game changes, the gameplay remains difficult and tense

Used to play this 1 and the first toca game on ps1, ive ordered both since no playing them in years

Only thing I don't quite like is some tracks are colored so dark, it's unreal looking already. Other than that, the game is awesome 😎
