That why people are able to enjoy him even more
It's almost like WWE is run by professionals instead of sickos.
It's one of the hottest angles going. People want to see these guys rip each other appart. People are picking sides. Hell, I'm Team Drew at this point! And its a simple, classic, pro-wrestling feud.
Raw has been great between this, Liv's revenge tour, and the Wyatt Sicks. I cannot wait for Drew vs Punk!
They really did right by putting Punk in a Program with the Scottish Terminator
I started to feel for Drew, but then I remember that he wished the injury upon CM Punk, so he's getting what he deserves also.
I'd argue that Punk vs MJF remains AEW's best storyline.

The thing about Drew vs Punk is that both these guys are the bad guys. Drew started all of this and became obsessed. Punk took things too far in response, because he is just as obsessed with Drew.
Each guy brings out the worst in the other in a perpetual cycle of hatred.

WWE right now is so On 🔥 fire. They are killing it in all cylinders, they have extraordinary booking, great storytelling, and shocking surprises.
You have The Bloodline New blood storyline, the Logan Paul and Kevin owens storyline cooking.
The Judgement Day, Dominick, Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, now Finn Balor storyline cooking.
And the New Wyatt6 debut storyline building up.
Then you have this badass storyline with Drew McIntire and CM Punk that is out of this world. It got me hooked and invested.
it's like you don't know each one to like more... great build ups, great suspense, great acting, great cliff Hangers, great surprises, great matches that are mashed together with storytelling...In ring psychology, selling, no spot fest monkeys... just good ole episodic week by week pro wrestling television.
They leave you wanting more and more and they leave you wondering whats gonna happen next, they have you saying "I have to watch this next week must watch."
That's the Key to pro wrestling... Leaving the audience and viewers wanting more... you need them to be invested...wondering whats gonna happen Next....Long term storytelling that culminates into great matches at huge events.
They are doing so many great Storytelling simultaneously at once...that it leaves you overwhelmed in good way because you like so many segments and so many Stories..that the 3 hours an 2 hours flies by so fast because you have been hooked lined and sinkered in these great Storylines.
There was a time when people dreaded watching Raw, and going through 3 hours of boring bullshit now its must watch again...in 3 years they've managed to change the landscape of pro wrestling once again, thats a credit to Triple H, Nick Khan, all the writers, and more creative freedom, no one is walking on egg shells anymore, they are now working as one and more happier nowadays. You can see the Wrestlers when they come out, they have more freedom, more liberties, look more excited to entertain there fans...they have this new rejuvenation, resurgance of this high bolt of Morale,
like they are saying " Lets Shine"
Not to mention NXT has the same thing going on as well, great storytelling.
This story line is the "best in the world."
And it’s not spooky it’s not supernatural it’s not a abuse of authority, no one’s abusing their power it’s just 2 compelling guys doing the bare minimum
I get your point, but i wouldn't call elite promos and top level story telling the bare minimum.

I returned to WWE after almost a decade for CM Punk vs Drew... But honestly I dont care one bit about this...

Drew doing all the carrying in this story only to lose the feud i think drew should lose first match but win the feud
i think the payoff from this is elevating McIntyre i think he beat punk at SummerSlam and punk get his win back that's how you make both look great and not have one go over and the other lose momentum

WWE is much more about the storytelling than then in-ring theatrics and I think that’s great. You get the best of both worlds.
I think drew punk is getting a little thin but they’ve both had freak injuries so there’s not much they can do.
