I had the same problem... & I found out I was over watering the hibiscus plant... Only water ur plants when top of the soil is fully dry... M in Aamchi Mumbai & right now m watering my hibiscus & portulaca plants after two days gap... That is if I have watered my plant on Monday than next watering I do on Thursday...
