Looks like this generation Evo is the one to have. I'm guessing cause the block is made of iron and can take more boost. The newer one has an aluminum block. I'm guessing this why we see more of this generation be built up to 900+ hp and not the newer ones.

It's called a turbo dump tube or dump pipe (whichever you prefer) It's an exhaust that comes off directly from the turbo. It looks like he also has one for the wastegate as well.

32 psi and made 900hp it's kind hard to believe but again it's 2.2 and most be 12.1 compression and big turbo. To make 900hp on a evo is like 50 + psi. But it's a fast evo for sure. 1320 videos are the best.

My friend makes 30psi, and only about 420hp.
Most likely high compression.
Its all about the RPM
Depends on the size of the turbo. A Garrett TDO4 will push less air and make less power than a Precision 7175 at the same PSI
All comes down to gas, tuning, compression, and displacement/rev capability. I could run a 16g and e85 at 30+psi and not make over 400awhp...
