Technically speaking, this is the greatest thing to ever grace an ESC stage. The color pallet, costumes, choreography, cinematography and editing are next level.
All the closeups made it feel very intimate and emotional. Notice that we never get a wide shot showing the audience. For three minutes you’re completely transported to someplace that’s both scary and beautiful. A masterpiece.

Exactly that. All the close-ups and emotions portrayed - feels like a MV not a live performance. You would forget the audience is there. No wide shots of the audience until the final chorus is incredibly impactful

@@waffleweave solid when she actually sang, which was not very often. That screaming would give most people goosebumps, of the wrong kind. Screaming is not singing and this is a song competition, not a screaming or a performance competition.
Ireland is completely next lvl quality, its not just a song its a full on performance, a movie. Cam angles, effects, acting everything was so perfect,so much work went into this. totally amazing, this deserves to win.

I have to tell you, it was SO LOUD in the arena for Bambie! Literally everytime the recap came up, giant cheers. The cheers after their performance were so LOUD and went for so long!!

250+ televote points incoming. it's extraordinary that they took a song like this and turned it into an absolute masterpiece on stage.
Unfortunately we didn't reach 200 even but I'm so proud of Ireland's 6th place. Exquisite and ground breaking performance
The storyline is that we’re harmed by an old boyfriend so they try and create a new boyfriend but it goes wrong and they make a monster. So they pretend to love the monster, trick it and they destroy it: they’re a good witch. Importantly tho, it’s just a performance it’s not real. 😅

Exactly, but sadly, a lot of people don't see that. They just see the stage set..
Some people can't read live stage proformance, if they could understand the lyrics, then they can understand the stage act..
And yet others can also see every medium has been hijacked. From online platforms to soaps and films to almost the entirety of the music and art industries… all of them ram the current messaging down our throats 24/7, regardless of apparent cover stories. We’re used to it. Doesn’t detract from the artistry involved, but it detracts from the integrity and the longevity, of artists who allow themselves to take part, because all politically motivated messaging is finite, it gets old and toxic very quickly. Love to all involved. Hope we can sort this mess out.

I was 30% the Polish guy BEFORE the semi, and then fully the yellow shirt guy but I come back to this review of our performance as it brings me joy that this kind of 'Ouija pop' as I've always loved the pagan roots of Ireland, has a place at Eurovision. Amazing so many viewers got to see us send a shock this year, I love the polish fella who's jaw legit drops at that intense and iconic image of Bambie following the costume change. Superb performance for Ireland we came 6th so I'm chuffed. 😳🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

Best staging ever! So theatrical. I was captured and in awe throughout. The ending so powerful. If Ireland wins, Eurovision may change visually in future and become more direct and personal, like looking sth at your cellphone. No more wide stages and takes.

That was kind of how I reacted. I have watched Eurovision since the 90´2 but never ever seen something like that where the staging makes you hooked for every single second and you get in a kind of shock state. This deserves to win for originality alone. Croatia is great and amazing performance but we’ve heard it all before.
