it's a great presentation and explanation, but does Brady work the other way too? if the defence has incriminating info on the defendant, do they have to volunteer it to the prosecution?
Obvioisly not? It’s a violation of client attorney privilege information and a violation of self incrimination i don’t know why you would do that in the first place
@@tylerwright497 thanks, good points. it was a stupid question. i think in europe where i'm from it's all weird and non-adversarial and they care more about the truth than courtroom dogfights
Prof. Wright- ty so much for your videos!! You have no idea how much you’re helping me, I’m in a 14wk intensive to attain my paralegal- 2yrs of education in less than 2 semesters! You are helping expand on the material in a very user-friendly way. Ty ty ty, sir. 🤓📚⚖️👏🏽 & you’re in NC!! 💪🏽👏🏽 😎🤘🏽💋🔮⚖️
Maybe you should be more grateful for him providing the video. You show your immaturity and lack of personal development, and just to be noticed like a spoiled child that doesn’t get affection from you parent so you have to passively aggressively lash out and devalue what others offer to the public to be neighborly and show love.
@@STILLSTANDING23913 I truly admire anyone who goes to law school and obtains a law degree and then passes the bar exam as law is one of those subjects you cannot fake your way through as there is so much information to retain with just law procedure before you even get into case law, state and federal statutes as well as Constitutional law. I agree with your response to the comment but to be fair the internet, particularly youtube has so much valuable educational material that a person can become well-educated on their own...that said I believe there is high value in a Trivium/Traditional college education where a student learns in person with a professor.
My brother is being held on false allegations and prosecutors are definitely withholding evidence that proves he's innocent, but i don't want to wait until after he's found guilty bc the jury didn't get the whole truth. It takes two years to rewrite their wrong. How do we prevent it before it's too late?
I'd try bringing your claims to the presiding judge of the courthouse. If they are made aware and do not act then they are in violation of their oath. Do not accept being brushed off. Insist until you are heard.
9:38 - He wanted to say “that’s a _Brady Violation”_ LOL would’ve been funny if he said “WoW that is a violation and in the future we will call it a “Brady Violation!”
what do you think about the lawyer's argument here and do you think it has anything to do with what you are talking about: www.oyez.org/cases/1997/96-1579
Your portrayal of Justice Douglas at 10:00 is very unfair. Yes! Douglas was a liberal. He believed in personal liberty, the freedom to act as you choose to act. He was an outdoorsman, he loved nature. And he was a romantic; he married a very much younger woman than he and together they shared a public life of considerable happiness. Now Chief Justice Roger B. Tawney was a beaut. His biography shows he was probably insanely prejudiced in favor of slavery. He was certainly no renaissance man as was Douglas. And Conservative Justice David Souter who retired from the court at a young age to his ancestral home in the New Hampshire woods, locking the door behind him, and seldom to be seen by the world again. So take YOUR prejudice out of your pocket, Teach, and stick it up someplace where the sun don't shine!
Thank you Professor Wright for this video. Providing your knowledge and expertise on the Law without charging US.
What about Brady requirements during the plea-bargaining process? Where a case never goes to trial? Do the rules remain the same?

Sometimes you also have judge who is in bed with the prosecutor and serious prosecutorial misconduct is happening :)
How can you go against that type of behavior ?
Exactly. What do you do when the judge doesn't follow the law?
Thank you so very much. This was extremely helpful
Judges who are about to apply for higher courts should first watch this video, because they could be asked to explain what a _Brady_ motion is.
Wondering how comfortable Mr Red Baseball Cap Guy is going to be In Court when he has to remove his Headdress, seeing as he can’t remove it now.
Lol. Does November answer your question lmao
Why go to law school and spend ridiculous amount of money when I have the internet to soak up all the information lol

Some judges doesn’t listen to people who are telling the truth. And lawyers withheld information.
This helped with my social studies mock trial lol thx
I’m sure there is at least 1 “student” in that wf class that isn’t paying attention 🔧💊.

What license to practice law? There is none. You are a card carrying member of the BAR association, that's not a license to practice law.
