Ash, absolutely not an understatement to say these videos have changed my relationship to running (which was nonexistent until about 9 months ago). I appreciate that you clearly understand the body and how muscles work/fire/contract/release, all of the biochemical processes underpinning exercise and stretching. It makes you extremely credible, but beyond that, you're charming, sincere, and thoughtful. You come to these videos with incredible humility. I'm only distracted occasionally by trying to squint and see if you have a wedding band, but mostly I stay on track.

Unfortunately( due to having to adult) I had to immediately travel 5 hours home.
This morning the first thing I did was stretch. I truly appreciated having a good friend to lead me as I felt tight and uncomfortable.

This was a great stretch routine to follow after your glute strengthening videos. I agree with the comment about a little categorization to help match up a good stretch for non-running days. I was searching for recovery day stretching/yoga when I found this following a string of glute workouts. It’s the perfect stretching series (for my hips) leading up to a race this weekend!

I live in North Florida now (where we run in humid soup about 6 months of the year), but I'm from New England - just south of Boston - and I remember the first hint of spring....something would just smell different as winter lost its iron grip. I always loved it.
Today's run was a standard 4 miles - very ordinary. Good to stretch afterwards.
I love your words Becky, very poetic! You are so right, the slight aroma of the flowers starts to spread. We live in a village close to the countryside so we are very lucky to experience it more so than the city.

Another lovely stretch. I'm doing a sponsored run/walk for MAP (Medical Aid for Palestine) so need to do 150k over a month.. Managed 10k today which is the furthest I've run since returning to it after an illness 😊

Hey Ash! You videos have been motivating me to do strength work and stretches alongside running! What would be really helpful on your channel is to make playlists to group the pre-run stretches, post run, strength workouts. It would make it easier to find the videos if I’m looking specifically for post run stretches for example!

After a weeks holiday for me, this video was very welcome. I reduced my usual routine last week, so I ran but did'nt stretch and man did I feel it on my runs. I run much better and easier when I stretch affter. Thanks Ash

Thank you so much for this video. Wow, I do feel better. I've been running for over 8 years now but I've never bothered to stretch thankfully I'm still young and I'm a massive overthinker so I'm always afraid of injury. I'm now starting to be mindful of stretching for as you say not just my psychical health but my mental health keeping me in the moment. Yes, some stretches were challenging so I did have just try my best while also not trying to hard to avoid straining but I did feel less tense after so I think it definitely paid off. Again after all those words, thank you 😊

It’s always a listening opportunity, put your body in that position and see what your body responds with. Sometimes we go too deep and annoy the body and other times not enough. Our stress and anxiety levels also influence how harsh we are on the body so stretching is a great practice to develop a good relationship with your body 😊 thanks for sharing 🙏

Sorry it’s not clear Ricci. Yes that’s the video membership that is launching this month. I’m a one man band so I’m doing it all myself, it’s taking a while to record and upload everything.
When this membership launches it will have a 6 week Foundational Strength programme which is 2 strength sessions a week for 6 weeks specifically planned with progression in mind.
Also there’s a 6 weeks String Knees strength and mobility programme. 2 strength and 1 stretch per week. All the sessions on both programmes are around 20 minutes or less to fit into people’s busy schedule. That may be of interest to you.
It should be live in two weeks.

Hi Ash, Im currently training for a half marathon and I have just developed some pain in the top of my foot since my last run. Iv not been able to run since😢 it hasnt gone in a couple of days where I have been resting it. Have you any advice?
Sorry to hear that Sheena. It could be a number of things that I couldn’t really say without seeing it in-person. Probably good idea to see a physio. Also, check how tightly you are tying your laces as that can contribute to issues there. You should be able to snugly slide a finger down between where your foot and laces are on the inside of the shoe 👍🏻
