I love the horse gentlers from the Navajo Nation, what a blessing for the horses, to have them working with so many, helping them to get good homes. Also, LOVE Angela who is such a trooper, always willing to step in and help out for the horses. My heart breaks for everyone who worked with Sapphire and had to say goodbye after such an effort to save her. I hope they find the answers they need, to offer a little bit of peace of mind.
Bear (Navajo baby) and Carmen are doing great! Lots of weight gained, Bear is a love, halter and lead trained, Carmen is making awesome progress with several small training sessions a day!

I worked in Flagstaff AZ for 14 years and I learned to love and respect the Navajo people and their ways.
Great people! The Navajo people are quiet people but once they get to know you and trust you, they are so funny and will teach you about their culture. I really love the Navajo's. I live really close to the Navajo Nation too.
Sapphire fought hard and gave you all she could, but sometimes nature has different plans.
Thank you everyone for taking such good care of Sapphire. May she now run free in green pastures and clear streams. We will all get to love on her on the other side someday. Warmest Regards.

I so appreciate what you do at HPHS for all the animals. You work so hard to do the best for all the animals. And we were all witness to how hard you worked to help Saphire. I think they are short staffed with the media team. So they are attempting to continue to put out content so there is less time for Jason and Justin to edit and perfect audio. Justin is stepping up, as he always does, where they need the most help.
Everyone did a great job. Like the new format. Gives us a chance to keep up with more of the animals & day to day workings of horse plus.

I am very impressed by this Navajo gentling program. And it is great that they can assist Horse Plus just as you have assisted them with their horses.
I gave my Cushing horse a whole bucket of apples. It was his favorite thing, he would look in all the trees on a trail ride looking for them. He couldn’t have the sugar for a couple years… this is stirring up memories. Look for her, my Rambling Man. Help her over the rainbow bridge.

When you get these horses from the auctions, have you found some horses to have been stolen?
Probably no one available today to answer this. I think that is rare at HPHS. Most of the horses don’t have scanner implants so it is harder to check that and not all states have brand inspection. (They do in Colorado, so if you watch CHRN they occasionally do come across one. I think they recently were able to get a rescue horse back to its legal owner.)
Excellent question, stolen horses, personally, I doubt it, to public. Stolen horses are usually sold directly to buyer ie horse slayer plants and transport dealers.

To the people complaining about the sound, check your settings! I am hard of hearing and have my phone turned up as high as it goes and can hear just fine!
You might not realize your settings aren't turned up as high as they can go.
In Bastian's defense, he was a bit off balance for picking up his right hind foot. He just had to get his balance. Such a cutie.

The Navaho Nation approach is fabulous. It will help horses become adoptable sooner. Your staff is excellent even though in a bit of a transition at the moment.👍

Loved this video, too. Justin's doing great. We're seeing the problems with mechanical failures, as well as the behind the scenes progression of work and animal events. Will you be engaging more Navajo volunteers? I hope there's a satisfactory forensic result from Saphire's autopsy. Of the cats I've had, those tiger cats are the happiest outdoor hunters, climbers, and people-friendly ones I've known. Hoping she gets a home with a large yard. How is the blind horse doing?
Really really miss Cory. The other trainers are good but Cory was excellent he was so right on pressure and release at the exact timing which isn't easy. I wish you had the money to bring him back. He very worth it😢

I love that the Navajo are there. They are so gentle with the horses and I hope many can transition to becoming veterinarians to help there animals.
Interesting video. Love everything everbody does. I agree with comments made about sound volume. We are interested to hear what is going on and then we can't hear what people are saying. Everybody needs mics.
I just retired from a 45 year career as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist. I did eeg’s, emg’s, ep’s and eng’s . I even dabbled in thermography! What a career. My question is for the doctors. Are there any tech’s who can do these for horses?
