No. I don't think it is necessary. I think what we have studied for our 10th board exam was enough for foundation and now can start from 11,12th NCERT.

My honest suggestion would be, if you don't have any problem reading and writing in english then go for english medium. Because finding good material especially on current affairs in bengali medium is difficult. Anyways, in case of bengali you would hv to refer to our state board's bengali medium text books.

As you will be graduating next year, so ideally you should start your preparation from this year if you want to appear in the exam immediately after your graduation.
