I looked at the temperature map of Brazil (mid September 2024), nearly the entire nation and surrounding nations are seeing scorching 37C (100F) degree plus temperatures and the much of the Amazon is in drought and many fires are burning. Humanity will be extinct in a decade.

Although fires aren’t new to us, 2023 was an extra traumatizing summer to live in the interior of British Columbia.
I appreciate the focus on the disproportionate effect on Indigenous Canadians as well.

40 years ago when i was a child. I was connected to dirt, rocks, bodies of water, lady bugs, Rollie pollies, trees and small fire pits Friday evenings. I assumed the adults were taking care of Mother Earth. It was a high expectation. Once i found out none of the adults i knew my whole life were not in charge, of the world, i thought, OK. I pictured who ever the men were, that had power to protect us all, would do so. I really really truly believed that. Come to find out, this whole time none of the men i knew gave a shit about the planet back in the 1980's.or 90's or 00's or 10's and the news stories are horrific these days. When poo hits the fan..i will be ready to protect myself. When i pass, hopefully an old woman...i want to be reincarnated into a mountain tribe governed by wise women.

Your experience resonates with me, but instead of believing in my elders' protection, I was an extremely neglected child who knew that adults never would protect me. My entire childhood was spent mourning a dying world. I remember being about 8 or 9 years old, looking at our new family car, and feeling alienated from the world I lived in. That car shouldn't "be" in the world I related to--the world of roly-poly bugs and dragonflies and moths, books about Badgers, Lions, Wolves--creatures I whose interactions with humans I knew were mostly about us killing them.
The life I related to in my child's mind was one full of trees and forager-subsistence, creeks and streams, ponds, lakes, meadows. The world I was offered was made up of half concrete and asphalt, a third houses, the remainder human-managed greenery. We had to travel to get to anything "wild." The beach of SoCal, the Sierra or Wasatch Mountains--far away, isolated.
All that time, I knew we would make things worse. I may have worked for change along the way, told people what climate change meant and how we were accomplishing it, but I never believed we would change--not all of us. Not all 4 billion, 5 billion, 6, 7, 8, coming up on 9 billion before we know it; we would not all stop driving cars and buying new "things" and building over wild lands.
I've been told that being a cynic wasn't constructive in the effort to get people to take action. But being practical isn't really the same as being cynical--get 250 million Americans to lower their consumerism by even a fraction? That wasn't reality. Stating the factual outcome of our actions, before those outcomes are manifest, isn't cynicism. It's a warning, one people can heed or ignore; Prepare for a hot planet. Prepare for an economic collapse, food system collapse, ecological collapse. When that's what we've been working toward (as if it was our heart's desire), we shouldn't be allowed to say that we didn't know it was coming. But knowing it's coming or not, we deserve a warning, a chance to try to wrap up our affairs, make the choices we feel are best.
I am 50 years old. I look at my collection of "things" and my collection of skills with a different perspective from most. I have the canniness required to survive longer than some, but a body unlikely to permit me to do all the things I have learned how to do in a broken world. So; should the goal be to die as soon as conditions no longer allow me to have a life worth living? Or should the goal be to pass on my survival skills to those who want to keep on living? Or something else entirely?
As for resurrection, I don't believe it likely, but I certainly would like to see what the world is like 10 million years after humanity has died out. What beautiful, intricate, fascinating creatures will have evolved? Who will have replaced the milkweed and the monarch? Will they use color, scent, vibration to communicate? I want to see how it all pans out in the recovery after the Anthropocentric Extinction. Alas, I never will.

And you know what's sad, it doesn't matter how much attention we give this problem. It's never going to get fixed. Just like how women are never safe or how we are constantly killing animals and making them going extinct.
We're never going to change some people do change. Some people try to change the world, but there's not enough of us and what's in our way money we just don't have enough It's all in the wrong hands, This is exactly why at 24 I'm not having children. Why would I bring them into a dying world Just for what them to suffer when they become an adult Because there's no clean air, no clean water and not enough food.

I see the future as more unpredictable, neither hotter nor cooler. When we have a flood or severe snow fall it sends the message that the climate in not changing, but is just unpredictable. Nevertheless I still see global warming is the issue. I can accept this but a sizable proportion of voters in all the countries will either not see it as a real problem or it's someone else to blame. The problem may not be accepted and the solutions likewise not accepted. The best I can see is technological improvements. The actual source of the problem is also technology as people, mostly in Western countries, don't see themselves to blame and carry on manufacturing goods or importing goods that cause the problem.

Many people blame countries like China for global warming and the statistics do seem to support this. This doesn't actually mean that Chinese people are the cause, but I suspect it is more the damand of the exports that China produces sell to the world. The Chinese manufacturers are very good at producing goods the world seems to want. Chinese people don't drive gas guzzling trucks themselves, they are likely to be travelling by ev scooters and trains. However the demand for their goods is there.

I wish someone would listen. water is useless against certain temps.
    Wildfire fighters need new methods.
they need small lakes that they can apply strong heat pumps to, to absorb the heat and freeze the water.
then they need to break it up and use it like bombs from air craft and mr frosty slush from pumps.
it sounds like a muchness, but it is VASTLY more effective.
the ice has the weight and density and latent heat protection to get deep into the heart of the fire,
the latent heat effect of ice becoming water reduces the total energy of the fire before the water even needs to do it's part.
if only 5% of your water dropped from a plane has any effect...if ice had 100% effect. that is 19 plane trips worth of fuel energy saved with which to make the ice with heat pumps, which will require vastly less than that.
fighting wildfire with water or fire is obsolete... fight fire with heat pump manufactured ice. and store the heat pump heat for district heating.

This is because Christ came back just as he promised. Look how bad society has gotten. Most people don’t know that Christ has come and gone. We are in the age of Aquarius, the age of knowledge. His new name is Baha’u’llah and the new song is the Baha’i Faith. Look on top of Mount Carmel. He passed in 1892. He was a prisoner for 40 years. The (Bab) meaning the gate, like John the Baptist for told Christ. If you’re a spiritual person you’ll look it up for yourself. Then you will understand.
