I’ve been maxing Q on Kayle and people said I was trolling but it never made sense to me. Maxing Q gives her wave clear and a disengage tool PLUS making her do more damage.
E max always felt delusional. You're never fighting anyone early for the on hit damage to matter.
I could argue that maxing Q can be a problem. Because if you land Q in a wave, you will push the lane and make it extra dangerous for you. So you have to be super cautious about your lane state. Otherwise you might never have the time to scale :/

In most trades/matchups where you pick kayle you can get several autos on enemy between each Q, so E max is usually better, but in matchups where you self counterpick yeah Q max better.
