This was a great premiere! Even though Burke was right about Howard, she's a crooked cop her damn self. We've seen her abuse her power to build her case against Howard.
I don't blame Raq for everything. She is ruthless but Kanan does not listen. In the very 1st episdoe she tried to convience Kanan not to get involved in the life & go to the school for the academically gifted. He went in there & purposely failed the entrance exam, then proceeded to tell his mother that he really wanted to help her in the business. When Lou mentioned that she made him kill D-Whiz, that was Kanan's fault too. Remember D-Whiz & Kanan shot someone from Nique's crew over a corner that Nique & Raq had already agreed on. At that point, the streets needed a body & she didn't want it to be her son. Even with Scrap, she told him to keep a low profile & stay away from the card games & he didn't listen either.
That lady could’ve sent Juke to the neighborhood community center or school music class as an aide to help, clean up or something. 🤷🏽♀️ Being its NY land of opportunity and dreams that lady was bugging. Just put Juke on the right path to network.
Yes! Because I didn't know who that was driving Marvin around. I also love that she's so knowledgeable about sooo many things (ie. Detective Howard committing statutory r-word with too young Raq, etc)
By the way they was describing Ronnie and how that man was acting, how Unique gonna have him around his girl and baby? Watch something happen with that.
