Nice finds mate. Very nice button. That mystery piece looked like a piece of a very very very old medallion. The relief on it looks too course to be a coin. GL HH
NIce one Kris! Try dual mode paired with full tones. This will give you maximal info on what to expect, size and depth. Ultrafast (reaction 8) is overkill imo. Reaction 6 (paired with a small coil) is fast enough for iron infested fields. I prefer the Rutus Alter over the XP Deus, have used both. Have also tried the Anfibio but it felt like a step back compared to Rutus.

I’ve tried beaches...dry white sand it’s fine...struggled on black sand and wet a bit
Hi i am planing to buy either a anfibio or a rutus alter 71 i want a strong and reliable detector.I dont hunt in salt water or at the beach ,i hunt mostly relics and ancient roman coins and artifacts.What would you recommend .

I'm on it! Just ordered in a T-shirt with a design on it to test the quality before I go public.
It's a bit of a nightmare, because those companies that sell merch for you tend to be in the U.S, which means big shipping fees for those in the U.K or not the U.S.
Then I found companies in who based in the U.K, but its the same deal. The shipping fees are large for those in the U.S.
Hopefully found a company thats pretty reasonable though!

In the usa I paid around 750 and 138 for an additional coil, the shipping is a portion of the cost when it comes from across the pond.

As I am new to detecting and come up against anti detectorists in this area
I no longer look for permissions and just detect the beach this happens a lot in
This country ie hobbies destroyed through authorities not wanting to listen
An making life hard I am all for doing things legally but councils do not
Want to even thin on people’s pastimes this is why I only detect beaches,
Best bet is to join a club, sadly it means pay per play for most of your detecting days I'm afraid. Or coin shooting at the already over searched beaches.
