Wow! Impressive build! While I haven't been totally sold on the graphics style, those 45 degree walls and all the landscaping/terraforming tools available to you are starting to win me over. Beautiful work! 🙂
Originally, during the demo, I did not like the graphics style at all and really wasn't sure I would be able to play this but it didn't take long to get used to it. There is certainly work that could be done with some textures and I hope they add a workshop and add some of the sandbox tools to Story mode but overall, I am really enjoying the game. Very pretty! Since you didn't have any photos of the inside of the house, it helps to look up "modern farmhouse interiors" to get an idea of the style. I'm currently working on renovating the small house "More than a trailer" in modern farmhouse style, and I found lots of interior photos for inspiration that have helped a lot. Your style here is a bit more "modern" than "farmhouse," other than the ceiling beams and old paint surfaces (which I haven't seen in story mode, where I'm working on mine...wish I had access to them!) to give that reclaimed wood effect. Most of the modern farmhouse designs I've seen are a mixture of rustic and modern, which gives the modern farmhouse look its charm. (Though it's difficult to distinguish between "farmhouse" and "cottage" sometimes, as even the professionals seem to disagree on dividing lines.) Still, a great job overall!
It will always amaze me when i see the shape of the overall structure come together. You make it seem so effortless, and yet i know it takes some learning, understanding, and patience. We all love your builds because of the time you have taken to adapt to the tools and mechanics, and the passion you put into each project. This farmhouse is no exception. Beautifully designed and decorated from room to room. Clean and fresh, spacious, and so much attention to detail, which i say a lot but it is true every single time. The upstairs suite is simply stunning and the layout of those windows is really clever as in my eyes it brings in a specific kind of view that is free of distractions - one doesn't need to be able to look directly out of a window to enjoy the sense of nature. (Might only make sense to me but it truly is a compliment.) Absolutely lovely. And again, inspiring.🙂
Thank you so much! I did struggle a bit with the diagonal entry. The snapping in this game is so weird...one side snaps perfectly and the other doesn't so I got a little annoyed. Then I realized my microphone was on so I was recording that annoyance. Then I made the ceilings too high so the lights were really dark but in the end I got it all figured out and was really happy with the outcome. I'm glad you liked it too! You made it through all of my videos! That is really amazing for me and I am so happy that you enjoyed them and commented on each and every one! Thank you so so much, I really do appreciate it!!
I saw the message come up on the screen which mentioned why you added the music. I guess i can understand the frustration. And i have the opposite problem in my current build. The ceilings are too low so lights feel too close or too bright. I'll figure it out. And for what its worth, i really found a lot of pleasure in every one of your videos. I like videos like this with music and no commentary it’s relaxing and we get to try to figure out what look and style you’re going for, this home is beautiful I’m excited to play this. Great job!
While this was the near beginning of House Flipper 2 for what we had, you did a great job on the angled wall part and now we got much more to do angled walls a lot better with the resizable blocks and love doing angled walls much as possible now and all we need now is proper shaped rooves for bowed and bayed areas other than that loving it. You may know this now but I'd have 2 resizable triangles in for either side of the angled door and windows so you can have 2 separate flooring in.
Gorgeous house overall Gigi, lovely and bright, fresh and spacious - that entrance porch is an absolute triumph! Shame you had to go to such a huge effort to make it though - here's manifesting diagonal and curved walls in future updates!!
Curved walls would be a dream come true. The things we could do with curved walls! I would love true diagonal walls too because it is such a pain to do currently. Thank you so much Ataraxis!

I am from an era where there were no cell phones, no computers, no seatbelts and helmets, barely any parental supervision. I'm sure you have seen the videos....I am one of them. We had to problem solve or else we may not have survived, lol.
@@GiGiDesignGames I'm from that same era ... I remember when seatbelts were introduced and how *weird* it felt, being strapped in like that! I'm used to it now, but back then it felt like a straitjacket. We also were allowed to question things that didn't make sense and speak up when something wasn't right without being called cruel meme-names for it, and we could think for ourselves. How times have changed.
It’s not as easy to decorate houses without all the workshop goodies…is it. It’s irritating that they left out so much from the first game, accessories, decorations, furniture and kitchen and bath sinks and cabinets. What makes it worse is they held it all back so they could sell it to us again in DLC’s. They will probably hold back the workshop capability until they have released some of the DLC’s.
They haven't responded to questions about the workshop at all which suggests either they will not implement it or like you said, they will wait until they sell some DLCs. Either way I am not happy about it, I miss the workshop!
@@GiGiDesignGames I rely heavily on the Workshop for HF1 and am finding the struggle really difficult in HF2. They have a center drill press available but not wicker baskets??? wth The lighting choices are atrocious, with some only suitable for a metal workshop not so much houses. I can't imagine what the devs are thinking, but so far it doesn't make much sense.
