Happy to hear that they continue to develop it, was a bit afraid it would get abandoned. So many of it's functions should be part of WP Core, another example of how WP has totally forgotten about the CMS part of WP
To be honest, it has more and better features than ASE in the free version. Thanks, guys, for this amazing plugin! I can totally see myself using it on all my future WordPress sites.

Worth keeping an eye on. I set it up to test. It covers four or five tasks that I would have used single plugins.
The UI is nice, but many of the pro features here are included in the free version of ASE
As I mentioned in the video, this isn't a comparison to ASE (free or Pro), but a look back at a alternative that I covered before ASE was a thing and how things are going to ramp up with a lot of new features over the coming weeks and months.
If you prefer what ASE offers, that cool. This is an alternative option. :)

Great tutorial! It works even better than I expected. However, bundling too many features into a single plugin could potentially lead to overhead issues.

The UI/UX of WP Extended is much better than ASE, I will probably give it a try and see how it feels although ASE seems to be updated very often adding new features and bug fixes.
@@JohnXionidis tbh, the reason I’ve gone back and covered this again is because of the conversations I’ve had with the people behind the plug-in and the fact there is a big push happening along with an additional developer who I know and everyone is really eager to polish the existing feature set as well as bring a lot of the ones too.
I love ASE UI better
I've run into issues with ASE and no longer use it.
Since WP Extended has to play catch-up with ASE, perhaps they should color-code the modules for easy comparison: one color for those features found on both WPE and ASE, another color for features found only on WPE.
@@NealUmphred555 interesting, but that’s only really relevant for those that use ASE and wouldn’t really bring much value to those that don’t.
At the moment, WPE is refactoring the entire code base to make adding new features faster and smoother. So, once completed you should see a lot more new features added relatively quickly and regularly.

very cool plugin. However, I am missing the option to set up a custom template as a dashboard. That would be the icing on the cake.

This looks interesting. I've run into issues with ASE, and no longer use it. I have a bunch of code snippets that are easy to import and export, but a replacement for ASE would be great.
Which issues you are running into with ASE? Just asking, cause I use it for a lot of client websites as well and run into a issue with an Updraft Premium function compatibility problem.

It looks great but the pricing is a bit stupid, jumping from 1 to 50 licenses = I am gonna chose 0 as I have more than 1 website and far less than 50.
