Wow, i love Wartales. Having a playthrough going myself. Some tipps: - don't split up your party too much before combat. Force the enemy to run to you, so you can kite em a bit. Get 2 or 3 Archers. They are rly strong. Keep exploring the map. You will find items for professions and new locations on the map.
47:10 You can also cook food in the camp from base ressources - you have a cooking pot in your inventory, that thing can be placed in the camp. You also can assign tasks to your guys - the tinkerer for example should be assigned to the workbench and a chef should be assigned to the cooking pot once you've placed it in your campside. Each assigned crafter provides bonuses. Upgrading my camp is definetly a lot of fun. You should definetly look out for shiny things on the map - its mostly ressources that are needed for crafting. You passed by shinies several times without collecting them. Also, travelling through woods is not necessarily a bad idea - you can not only encounter humans but also wild animals like boars for example. These give ressources for cooking and occasionally also crafting materials (like leather). Instead of selling low value items you can also dissassemble them at the crafters table in the camp and gain some scrap and base materials. 56:30 No you haven't. You have not talked to the guy that hands over the regular mercenary contracts - its the one at the notice board in the tavern. Doing these contracts is a good way to gain some loot, experience and coin. PS: Knowledge points can be spent on way more than just the general stuff - have a look at the top when you're in the compendium, you can switch to other pages with a ton of additional stuff. You can unlock all kinds of crafting stuff that way as well as other usefull stuff.

There is no bonus, so pay close attention to how much is needed vs how much you are spending. when its an odd number its harder to not, but just try to minimize as much as possible. The other thing thats not explained well is "assigning" people to tasks in the camp. you can drag people around to the different things, like the cook pot and the tinker table. You want to put the person with the correct profession next to the table in a spot where the do a little animation. the tinker will hit the table with the hammer, and the cook will stir the pot. this is how you activate the bonus. Its really important to get the tinker going, he will make 2 scrap a day, which is used to repair, and the cook pot bonus of reducing food need only works with the cook standing next to the fire.
I had a couple of questions if you are able to help - Should I do all of the contracts on the Tavern board before I go to the next section ( border cross ) area? Are guys able to learn more than one weapon type, or do I have to hire and dismiss if I want a different weapon? For the "Leaders Aggression" buff, is killing the leader the only way to stop his group buff, or is there another way? Thanks. 👍
@Fzoul Cmbyl the informant quests in the tavern are kinda like bread crumbs to completing the zone quest. If you do the quests the "right" way, it usually leads to you being able to go to the next zone without having to pay the border crossing fees. It should be noted that these quests exist without spending the renown on them, so just visit all the points of interest and you will clear them without trying really. For weapons, they only use the type the are assigned. For the mace, sword, and axe, this means they can use the 1 and 2 hand version, but they can not learn a new weapon type. And yes, clearing the leader is the only way to clear the buff, as far as i have found. Hope this helps!

Great game so far. I didnt play in EA, but jumped in on "launch day". Really have fun so far. You will be getting more recruits as the game progresses, lots of youtubers have been naming them after commenters. kinda fun, if you wanna go that route.
I don't know about this game yet, but it seems to me that change professions on the fly is probably not a good idea... I thinking there is probably some sort of levelling system involved with getting good at a profession that is nullified every time you change it.
Just started watching you are at the character creating screen still...why would you give the tank the trait to counteract the crit drop...why would you worry about a tanks crits? The damage dealers have more concern about crits. Just thought it was a miss-thought on your part.
It's the same for the only taking 1 positive trait. If you know their role surely you can find a negative trait that is inconsequential to their role, netting you another positive one....BUT it's 1st run so I get it, testing waters.
It wasn’t a tough moral choice. The bandits at the end were harming civilians. Regardless of their situation, if you’re choosing to harm and take advantage of innocent people, that’s bad. Glad you made the right choice at the end 👍 making me want to buy it for myself!
Well, thought I would see what Wartales was about, but you really miss a lot and misunderstand all the things that you need to do. I think you need to research a game a bit better before you play it, so you dont come off as an amateur. Best of luck to you in the game, but I think I'll look elsewhere. Cheers all 😉
