Have you looked at the Powerhobby 265mg it appears to be identical to a Reefs 300 spec wise.
yessir and gonna take a second look after reprogramming the 209, they pricey tho just about same as a Reefs, im just curious now if they too set to like 40 from factory
@@NorthSideCustomRC they are $89 here for the 265s reefs are quite a lot more I think $119+. Those 209s seem to do nicely now though. Might try a couple of those. I have my impala fully reefed but, just bought a monte.

Thanks Much, Yes the Reefs can be reprogrammed (even the gold ones) but needs the Reefs programmer and Reefs software

I'm picking up a couple more Reefs Alacritous Servos and using their programmer to open them up to 💯%. Does Reefs programmer work for the Hobbywing Servos? 🤔I may use those as well, thanks to your Video!👍🏻
No, all the Servo Brand use they specific programmer, its a waist cuz they all seem to be the same dongle and same software with different skin so its not a hardware thing

Trust me, Im ordering 6 more of these just to start lolololll Weirdo is running the "Scale look" shocks with internal springs awesome wobble lololol lolol She named "Weirdo" cuz a guy in one of the groups went on a rant calling me a weirdo because I made a point addition adding the advice to make sure the automotive paint works on lexan before spaying a 130$ body after he said to use Auto paint on lexan is all good..... Cant do trick paint with RC paint lololol I told him Id do a flake paint body with only RC paint and call it "Weirdo" lololol N here we are lololol
@@NorthSideCustomRC Ha! Ha! Weirdo's paint looks awesome. Tamiya flake and then polycarbonate for lexan works for me.👍🏻was just checking so those shocks are the same as the gray shocks you modified on your video. That's what I'm gonna run too. Excellent Tutorial Video adding the o-rings to adjust height and re-using the "tiny boy" screws for mounting.

I have a Monte Carlo on the way and I know I'm gonna want it to hop. My question is with these servos do you need a BEC and do you replace all 4 servos or just the front 2?
No these while powerfully enuff are not 100% alloy, the mounting tabs are plastic and I've seen a few break on hop Monte. It depends on set up but for the most part hop Monte will need all alloy servo in front to keep from breaking. In the rear 209 is fine.
209mg are a budget upgrade. Good in rear and can hop a 64 but not as good as 300 or Super Pump
@NorthSide Custom RC first, thanks for responding. so basically, there's no budget hop servo for the Monte Carlo? What about steering servo for the Monte Carlo? I plan on changing my esc to the hobbywing 1080 and adding a BEC while on 2s lipo. I want to hop and enjoy my lowrider experience but don't know how to really achieve my goals
@@BEARNUTS4U2C The Monte is not made to hop, it takes a lot of readjusting the layout to get them to hop, along with minimum full aluminum servo because of how they mounted, 209mg have plastic mounting tabs that have broken on hop Monte. End of day it takes a really good servo to perform at the level we need,
I have hop monte build just about finished, will do full build break down and how to build when its all sorted
@NorthSide Custom RC guess I should've done more research before jumping in this head first. Well, I've already ordered 2 of the 209mg servos, they're on the way with programmer. The Bec and programmer for it. Hobbywing 1080 esc and programmer. Can't think of what else I've ordered and on its way. I really thought I was on the right track for this but I'll fall back and track your Monte Carlo build to help me along my journey. Again, thanks for responding and taking the time to answer my questions.
