I fished the gulf coast for decades in that area and every trip I learned something new that pushed me towards being a great fisherman. When you hooked that one red and pulled out your other rod to try and catch another one, but they didn't eat it, at that moment I would have changed that lure over to another vudu shrimp. Not very often to run into a school of oversized reds in January when it's 50 degrees in the marsh. keep that in mind for next time and you'll make another awesome video like this one doubled up in a kayak. video brought back memories, glad I found you.
dontcha just love hearing and feeling that first drag screech from the hookset??? best part of the catch... Fine reds, my friend, fine reds...Doesn't it suck when you have a hard time getting a limit because your fish are TOO big? ;-)
