Remove a Pressed In Bearing With Bread, and Shop Update!

Welcome back to Americana! Today ill show you whats happening around the shop currently, and as a BONUS! I will show you how to use some slices of bread to pull a pressed bearing or bushing.

Us old guys always used grease because it was handy in the shop. You younger guys just happen to have a loaf of poisonous white bread nearby. It seems they both work. Us older guys would use a steel shaft or wood dowel that fit the hole snug so the grease didn't ooze out around it. And it only took one solid hit with the hammer and the bushing was on the stick.
But whatever works I guess. You could always pack your wheel bearings with the leftover bread. Just make sure you wash your hands thoroughly to get that genetically modified wheat off your hands so your fingers don't fall off. Man just imagine taking your gloves off one day and your fingers are still in the glove.
It is hard to imagine how us older guys ever lived long enough to produce you younger guys. We were way too stupid to be aware of all the dangerous things in the world that were just lurking around waiting to hurt us.

PS: My Uncle had a unique way of describing younger people. He said, "Your Daddy squirted the best part of you on the curtain." This probably doesn't apply to you though so don't be offended because my uncle never met you.

One of my favorite tricks ive learned, its the best when you tell someone to go grab you a loaf of bread to finish this job, the look on their face is priceless!
