The old manuscripts is a distraction from people reaching the truth. The old manuscripts might be old but that doesn't mean it must be more accurate..we know it's not simple because some of these translations needs to constantly be updated, revised and reedited.

I understand why......but I want people to figure it out themselves and do their own research because it can be explained. There are scriptures that support why, and in conclusion, many translations in totality are NOT OKAY.
it discourages people... and makes people question Christianity, in its overall validity because there are Christians who do not really understand. They just regurgitate what some famous scholar told them.
If it's that easy... of course Satan can send his tares as scribes and pharisees, as scholars, people that call themselves christians.... but in reality, they are working under demonic influence to corrupt the message of God's word under the guise of a new translation... because Christians will ignore the errors anyway.
That is why Satan is able to deceive so many people and get them to leave Christianity (1 timothy 4:1-2) because many christians are afraid to do deeper research on the topic and speak up about the truth of what they discovered.

Then what difference does it make on what religion one chooses? That's not my logic btw...but that is the logic for many that depart from the faith.
So if we are Christians and we believe our faith is superior and the only one true faith, then we need to explain why we have so many false translations. Because whether we want to realize it or not.. it shows that Christianity are Hypocrites! But there is a real reason that can be explained for this & the Bible teaches it and why, and again there is a historical reason as well that Satan does not want people to come to the truth about.
Many of these translations take out scriptures, and it leads to contradiction within its own text.
For example. Niv and others refer to Satan as the Morningstar, and they also refer to Jesus as the Morningstar.
Then some might wonder why some cults believe Satan and lucifer are brothers... or one and the same.
So obviously, as a Christian, we should know that's not true. But if the translation reflects that... then why aren't we in agreement to what that translation says???
That's the PROBLEM that many who depart from the faith sense but can't successfully pinpoint.

-Can't understand hypothetical situations.
-Fumbles constantly.
-Blames his critics for "reacting too fast" when he is the one doing so.

I suggest that you compare a Catholic Bible with a Protestant, an Eastern Orthodox and the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Bible verse by verse. You will be surprised how much they differ. You can even compare the Dead Sea Scrolls online verse by verse with the modern Bibles and you will find significant changes in certain passages.

Those in search of masculinity need to understand that strength is powerless against truth. No amount of strength, force or violence can change fact, at best they can obscure and lie about it. If you're powerful enough maybe you can force people to lie for you that two plus two isn't four, but reality itself will never bend to your will. You can pretend that the answer is five and build a society around that, but then your planes won't fly, your buildings will crumble, your bridges will collapse, your entire economy will swim in errors and the whole system will collapse because it was founded on an untruth. Sneako can be a great example to people why critical thinking is an important thing to practice. He clearly doesn’t know much about islam or Christianity yet, but it wouldn’t have mattered if he was able to formulate logical reasons as to why he chose one over the other. In addition to this, he would have been able to form counter arguments for the points being made against his flawed reasoning. As you said, all of your points were based on the reasons Sneako was providing for his decisions, not by how extensive his knowledge was (or wasn’t) of islam.

I have a few different translations. I have one that's extremely old. What he's not understanding is they had to retranslate it each so many eras in order to fit the vocabulary of the present era. So the old one that I have has vocabulary from back in Old English time. We don't talk like that anymore. And I find it very confusing. But I get the gist of what they're getting at. And I compare it with my newer version. Sometimes it will go through and look through the vocabulary of what it's trying to get to. And yes there's been times I have seen where they do not match up. Cuz there was some kind of lost translation. So it's always good to have a old Bible and a new Bible to be able to compare each other. I do like watching Steven Ben DeNoon. He goes through some of the differences in the Jewish Torah.
