- This video is not just about periods; it's about fostering connection, understanding, and support. So, whether you're a mom looking for ways to approach this topic with your daughter or a teenager seeking reassurance, we invite you to join our conversation.
Mine started when i was 14😊. I was very shy when I was breaking the News to my mum. She was laughing at me like,," why are you shy!! 😂" I love you Mum 💖
The confidence in Nora is on another level i love her
Jeridah just reminded me on how my dad used to do shopping for me while i was to join and any other shopping i required to use and ako like "hizo sanitary zimetosha😊😊" i really love that gentleman
My dad too did that but he either allowed me to pick what I wanted or he gave me the money to do it myself
My daughter used to carry a pad in her bag, she was so prepared for it until she started her period after class 8.
I had a conversation with her about it and I can you she is so knowledgeable about it.The sessions for girls at School really helped.
The 1st person I told was my bro he was in 4th form and I was a form1 since I had no mum to share to I went direct to my bro explained everything 😂and he bought me the pads till I finished my 4th he took care of that staffs
U had a great big brother 💪
Aawww that's cute he handled you well ❤
Nora's confidence is top notch 🥰🥰gal your sister is lucky to have you
My daughter started last year in class 7 thanks God they were taught in school, and i had also talked to her before.
Nani mwingine amemiss Norah kama mimi❤❤❤❤❤
I knew it jeridah was not comfortable with this Norah's confidence 🔥🔥🔥😂😂
awwww Norah is such a sweetheart especially for carrying an extra pad God bless her and you.

Norah is a natural leader. I can tell
Love Nora's confidence is another level,,,,,😊,,,,,no one should be ashamed
Norah is actually a grown up girl. The confidence in her tells out all😊♥️
Such an insightful sessions. It's a must watch for all our young gals. They should never be ashamed about this natural process.
Even my daughter stared at 12 years, i was so excited 😅
Nora is so emotionally intelligent. My baby girl is a late bloomer. She feels left out.she can't wait for the experience.
My daughter is in form 3 she called me on Saturday and told me mum my mens have started I was scared she was with the class teacher, teacher told me madam don't worry I will taught her everything akikuja midterm she will tell u the experience, let me tell u Sunday nilikuwa shule I was scared n she is like ai mum it a normal thing am a big girl now, credit to her class teacher asante Sana mwalimu

@@faithgatwiry not really... i got mine in form 2 at 16yrs
My dota nine years old told me they have been taught on what to do and expect when their periods come. Kudos to their teacher.
I love the way Norah is confident❤
Awesome Mummy daughter moments.. this conversation between Norah and Mumbus, Their experiences would be interesting to hear.
Learning some mom tips from you Jerida❤. I pray Dahlia(my 2y old daughter) and I will have this kind of rlshp😊.
Weh... I am those parents raised in the 80s and 90s. That is the shock I got when my daughter at 12 years then told me that she has seen blood in her under pant. At least todays' generation are free to talk about all these. ❤
Still scares us though
I stampled on this and I love it,the boldness in her.
Mimi nilianza nikiwa class 7, (December, waiting to join class 8). I had one of those embarrassing moments in class 8, 1st term. Nobody ever told me that periods could be irregular. So I'm done with my seven days and I'm clean, then 3 days later, BOOM! Masaa ya class! In a mixed boarding school! The trauma! More than 20 years later, I've never healed. 😢
Sorry babez! This is something I had to figure out on my own! It’s sad that girls till today. Don’t know what to do when they get their period
i love noras maturity
Nora is so mature for her age which is amazing ❤
Norah is very confident, great convo there
I swear I love the bonding between nora and her mum
I used pieces of cloths for two years coz that's what I knew, that's what I saw my mum do. She does that Upto today, she just can't do pads. So my mum nor my sister never knew when and how I started. After two years is when I could get some courage to ask for pads and yes! As Jeridah says , there is no vocabulary in our tribe fit to ask for pads. I could say, mum please help me with money buy 'those things'. The worst question was, 'which things?'
I started business after class 8 and I never asked for money for pads since then.
I used them too for so long coz I wasn't comfortable telling my mom about it,, it was bad ,,,I got infections for so long
And so many of us come from this space where we don’t know how to discuss periods .
I've really loved this conversation.
Nora is so confident.....
This girl Norah!! Woow😘😘😘
I really like the conversation, and how Norah is so confident
I love the girl's confidence. I'm a mother of Boys. I'll be waiting for the topic on boys. Thank you.
When I first 'saw ' my period i was soooo excited. Though hata 10 yrs hazijaisha, its now 8 yrs
Mine received hers while 9 yrs old.It slapped me hard to perceive this😢
the content is madd, and the edits and sound effects super relevant also
Thank you
I really love the confidence in norah wish ro meet her in person
Norah i have missed you together with our Neema
Jeridah you just like my mom,,,like I never had such conversation with my mom and the worst thing was that I am the eldest girl...when I started my period ilikua hard and weird coz nkitu hajakuambia even though umefunzwa kwa shule and believe me I never saw her mens items,,,it was really hard for me telling her to buy me the pads nli struggle the first few months coz I would fetch people water and buy them myself and hakujua now she came to know wen skua na option alinituma kwa duka and I was on my days change ilibaki nlinunua nayo pads vile aliniuliza i was like mom nmenunulia mkate🤣 and my sister said to my mom she's lying hatujakula mkate guys nlikosa k2 y kusema.....sai I've made it a habit to talk to my little sister's.
😂😂😂 you should help in advocating for this free talk. Its among the causes of teenage pregnancy. Thanks for sharing.
Ohhh, am 23 now en l also started my periods at 11
Just love this conversation can't wait my daughter to grow
I used to see my elder sister so I was fully prepared ooohh
My daughter got her period at 12,she also got a pad from the nurse and she got home and announced for everyone in the living, dramatic!!
😂😂😂😂Confidence innitt
Announcing got me on the floor 😅😅
😮😮😮 but why do they do this to us ?
I started my period when in form one and I really knew nothing about it 😂😂 the struggle is real I used to use kitambaa nikiteseka weeeeuuuuh.. this is really a topic parents need to share with their girls.... When I get a girl I will prepare her for it....
Hugs darling
Napendanga your girl, the way she talks Nice
Mine was late akii I was feeling bad I felt like a less woman and when it came I was in form 3 third term closing day I tell you I announced it to almost every one this was the best thing 😂😂respect period it's important ❤the topic
This is a great video. Very helpful 👏..
CBC kids are very free, full of confidence, mine started at 12, gai lemi tell you maina, nilishtuka! She was very ready for it! Her grandma helped her through it since am very Far. Do you know am born 80s and I have never shared period story with my mama 😂😂.
And we are many ! Raised in the 80s, How do you start talking to your Mum about periods?
I jst love Norah ❤️ 😍
I missed this conversation I swear, jeridah tell Norah that we were taught private parts are 'tabia mbaya' like hata kujikuna mbele ya watu was abomination. Am born 90s but when I started mine trust me I knew nothing about it, class 6 n I thought ni kitu itakuja the whole month then inaisha😂, pads was a vocabulary I had never heard in my entire life , sema kutumia tissue🤦 now I feel like educating me little boy just on the same
Humbly let Victor too discuss about puberty with the Dad. Like you ably did share with Norah.
Well done Mum
Asante
I see what you have done there😂😭
Very good idea
I started mine at 11yrs and was ok
The vulnerability ❤🥺
The editing is giving me Mkuru vibes 😂😂😂😂. We miss you Norah🥹❤️, I hope you are doing great in school. All the best Mdm President 🤍
This topic is 👌cz i have a pre-teen need more of this topic
Hee.. Jeridah, lemme tell you I started mine while in std 8 and at the time I had gone to a wedding and was the way opener. Tukiwa kwa gari moving to the church where the occasion was taking place, I felt uncomfortable like some wetness na sikuelewa until when nilishuka nikaambia na one of the maids I had soiled my dress. Aki I was so embarrassed and scared. I lost the mood and I just wanted to disappear. I never told my mom and dealt with it on my own cos ningeanzaje hata kuongelea kitu kama hiyo. I used some clothes that I would wash and hang until a neighbour kwa plot discovered na yeye ndiye aliambia mamangu
I have had just awful moments each day of the month for very long. When I started using pads ,I was all on my own. No social media spaces then, nobody telling you anything about it and wueh!
It was the worst thing that happened to me at 11.
Believe it or not, I have known how to put on a pad properly at 25.
Me n you same Whatsapp group, hugs😢 🤗
Wa! That must have been stressful . 😢
@@JeridahAndayiBroadcasterit was terrible
❤❤❤nimemiss kumsikia Norah aki
Jerida you have made me laugh soo loud. Eti mvua ikaanza kunyesha kweli😂
I love Norah ❤❤❤😂
My periods started when i was in form 2,3rd term😂i was happy and exited because i was taught prior by my mum,i was an adult too,i felt like i was a big girl😂😂😂
The confidence with Nora is so sweet
I was the last girl in my class to get my menses I was in class 7 I was almost turning 12 I was so excited
Watching this a month later. At times, i get very painful cramps that come with pewking (this forces me to take medication)...and when this happens I'm usually unable to walk and have a lot of cravings😭.
Yanii unaumia mpaka unatakamani kuwa boy😭😭😕
Nora is so feminine ,I love her energy ❤🎉
yes some start very early and its very scarcely like my dota she is 9 in grade 4 omg even she does not know how to bathe........I cried ooohhh
Woi, aki she too young. You really need to help her track the period dates
My girl started at 9 yrs too it was traumatising of where to start
@@virginiawambui2875 very I really cried but again it's nature and we got no control
Talking of cramps ,i also go through the worst ,,really need help😢
Cramps comes in a different way, I've never experienced but while in my menses I'm always moody no eating appetite but kisirani 😢
Cramps is about the pain only
Mama, enjakire okhutsia mumwesi
My daughter is in grade 4 now and they have already been taught about periods...i was honestly impressed
I never told anyone 😭 thank God for those free pads from always sijui ningedo what cause heh telling my mother was not an option 😂😂
😅😅😅
I began my periods but there's a time I got an 'emergency' during my first days in campus.... imagine standing up at the end of the lesson just to feel some wetness between your thighs only to realize that your dress is already soiled 🥺🥺 I had not made any friends in that class and I was introverted though luckily still I had a sanitary pad with me... it was still a huge mess coz I had not carried an extra panty... somehow I managed through it but truth be said it was one of my toughest days in campus
Am working far from home bt we usually talk wth my daughter she is 12 years and every time she goes to school wth 2 packets of pads 😂 and most of the time I usually ask her if she has started her periods and she says not yet 😂 bt I thank the grandma she started teaching them about periods so she is ready most of her friends has started their menses bt nowadays they learn homescience all about that mine is prepared kabisaa
Mine started when i was 14 and I cried my mum was like is okay just go get pads from the shop i was like how on earth am i going to ask for pads 😂🤔 she had to go get them by herself for me am glad she was there for me😊.
It’s never easy
I got mine at 18, my mother was worried, and she never knew when I started. She kept asking me "umefika" i asked her wapi, "kwa mwezi" 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🙌
I was so scared when I started mine In class 5 , 2010😢
😂😂😂😂Class 5
My Daddy as Baba Girls, every month akipata salary,he was always buying each girl a box of sanitary pads,Hadi tulikuwa tunauza zingine
My first time in class seven OMG 😅😅😢😢I really cried 😢😅
in my former school the girls started on 12-16 years old
Late bloomers.... wa😮! I felt like i am not a woman. When everyone was getting their periods in form 2 l was still waiting. Unlike Norah, l was eagerly waiting for it...
Btw wazazi wa kitambo though... Aah... Utapata haje periods n ur Mom wil never know it??🙆.
Thank God for today's parents who can't just wait for their gals to get there. 🥰
Nice talk❤🎉
This seems to be a sensitive topic for Jeridah
Very
My girl is turning 12 in April, am scared as a parent but she's very ready, carries pads/ panty, wipes na Vaseline weeh, am happy coz she's well informed but still very scared🤔🙈
Good girl she is .
Let tell you my daughter started at the age of 10! My friend I was cooking sausage nilizima mafuta nikaenda bedroom and told her take a shower 🚿, then I called her step dad sent some cash and he told me go for shopping then I'll make sure nimekuja kesho .waaa he made it easy for me

For me the cramps make me feel like it disappears forever coz i can die😢
I just wanted to ask if you Kenyans visit the forests like we Ugandans do
Mine started in form 2 and my mom was out of town. It was just my dad and brothers at home with me. So i kept the little secret for two days, till my mum came back. However ,when my daughter gets hers, I'll throw her a period party! Because there is no shame
One day i will share my first period experience.... Trust me it was wild 😂😂😂😂😂
Can only imagine! 😅
