I can't believe that anyone felt like they needed to say anything negative about the towels. I grew up with decorative towels that we didn't use. I personally don't care for them, and I don't have them. I couldn't imagine saying anything negative about it. Everyone does what makes them happy. There are so many different styles, and I just move on if it isn't my style. I still watch the video because I may learn a different technique for a different project that I may have for something else. You are awesome, Kelly!!!

My mom was a single mom, a widow with three kids, and she had special decorative towels that no one ever used. She was born in the depression era and she made her stuff last. She took care of everything that she owned. She didn’t just flippantly throw things out and replace them, what a great mom! Good job, Miss Chocolate Sprinkles!!!
My husband went home over 4 years ago, you will survive! I’m now a solo nomad with a 26’ travel trailer and loving it!! Always new places and adventures. Yes, it would be nice to do this with him. Really, he is with and seeing them. (No back seat driver help, LOL) Keep smiling and going forward! Great towel crafts also.

As a fellow Vilomah I think you’re standing strong. I know you might not feel strong, you’re battered and wounded, it’s one day at a time, one foot in front of the other. Lack of interest in things you used to enjoy is a part of grief and you’re still very fresh in your grief process. I think of losing my son is analogous of an amputated limb. The limb is always gone, there’s no forgetting that loss, I’ve just learn to live with that loss. There are times that are still hard and I allow myself to cry, then dry my tears and remember how grateful I am to have been privileged to be Arthur’s Mother. ❤️
Coming from a Latino family, decorative towels were always a thing all year around and for every season. Some very simple and some very elaborate. I love them. Great job!
I’m an older person and I grew up making special towels by embroidering pictures or patterns on them. I still put out special towels for every season and holiday. I agree with you they add a special feeling to the bathroom or kitchen. You were doing a towel project the very first time I turned into your channel many years ago.

Like so many commenting here my family also had decorative towel sets. My grandma DIYed many bath towel apron with matching hanging hand towels for the stove handle. You probably remember the ones with the the crocheted handle with a button to hang it over the oven handle. I remember these videos so happy you are still here.

I have do not use - just for pretty- towels in all three bathrooms. My kids always knew what towels to use and what towels were “look pretty” only! No problem. The bathrooms all have a hand towel folded on the sink and the kids had hooks for bath towels. It works. So much fun having a “Throw-Back Thursday”! Love it! You’ve come a long way! Wonderful!
It is always amazing to see differences in personalities of our children and our pets: mellow, hyperactive, bouncy, quiet, moody or always bubbly. Mother's Day was surely hard for you this year. My kids are alive but only 2 of the 5 acknowledged me. We find strength to carry on with love.
I lost my oldest son almost 8 years ago. I think i am stronger today than ever before. What helps is if you have one friend that is a good listener and you enjoy their company. I have a friend that helped me tremendously. Prayers for you and your continued success on your channel.

I remember when you were crafting from that space! Lady, look at how far you've come! One of the many things I've always loved about you is you have always remained true to the audience. Your projects have always been easily incorporated into our daily lives. As crafters, gift givers, moms on a budget, everyone on a budget. I follow so many who, and I understand their pursuit of learning new things, have ventured into projects I can't afford to craft. When you steer into new paths, like essential oils, you still deliver projects we can afford. Projects we can gift. Projects we can sell, if that's our thing. Decorative towels? They immediately conjure memories of my grandmother, Nanny. My other grandmother always had a hand towel or fingertip towel on one of those rings near the bathroom sink. Look at how many memories you have evoked! Lovely lady, stay true to yourself. There's only one you and I think you're super neat!
My Grandma made special towels. One set has Tating that was done by a blind friend.of hers. Priceless to me and my kids are in intensive discussion on who gets to inherit them.

I cant believe all the different DIYs I have seen you make over the years. I saw you make a headboard for a bed. I saw you make the cutest side table made of crates. And you made the cutest doll house for your girl. You also showed a quilt you made for your girl. You also made candles that look like a bowls of cereal with a spoon. That was real original. Then there are all those tier trays you have made for every holiday. Another one I liked was the white chocolate you molded into a cup and after the chocolate hardened, you poured a smoothie into the mold and put whip cream on top and put a straw in it and served the creations at your daughters party. And you made the coolest candle holder that was square and all 4 sides of the holder said the word LOVE. You also made those red trucks out of cardstock. That idea was really cute. Then there are those flowers you made that looked so real. The things you have created are endless and your work has certainly made an impression on me.
I think these were great towels projects! We all have to start somewhere, so nothing cringeworthy - look how far you’ve come since then! It’s so good to see you buuut, I think you should take the time you need, please don’t feel pressured to come back before you’re ready. Listen to your body, heart, and mind, you’ll when the time is right. I’m sure you feel the pressure of earning an income which just adds more angst. We will be here for the impromptu videos and when you’re back full time. We can be patient and only want what’s best for you. ❤

I started watching your podcast because your initials are the same as my sons. My son died 5 years ago from a massive heart attack. This past Thursday would have been his 47 birthday. Yes l still miss him,yes there will be days you don't care to get out of bed, yes people can be hurtful. You always say be positive, Kels, don't let the naysayers work your nerve! You are helping me and a lot more people. Those people that are negative haven't lost someone they truly love. We got your back whatever you chose to do. Love you girl.
Thank you Kelly! Your the bravest person i know right now! I lost my mom 6 months ago from pancreatic cancer. At 84 she decided to not treat the cancer. Watching her body and mind fight the disease was agonizing. But you are amazing how you've handled the lost of your son. 🙏❤️
I am with your mother and still have decorative towels in the bathroom. I have also made the towel robe. Iove them. I found the velcro would stick to the towel when washing it so started using two skirt hook and eyes.

I hadn't seen those projects before. So cute! I was one of those mons with amazing crafting talent but rarely a penny to spare. I was a single mom with two kids and a full-time college student, without child support. I worked my tail off to earn a master's degree, so I could give my kids a better life. Which I did! Shopping at garage sales and then making decor like your mom made helped me to make my house a home. I commend her for her ability to give you a beautiful home. I absolutely value having pretty things in the bathroom. To this day I have decorative towels. We sing live and positivity your way!❤
I loved all your ideas- I forgot how I did it now but early 70s I took 3 bath towels and made my sister a robe. I loved the decorator towel too. My mom was like that too decorating with her diys.

Kelly I love this bag. What an adorable picture as well. I made decorative towel just like this but I sewed them and I use them and so do my guests. I no longer have anything I don’t use. I moved from a 3 bdrm house to a one bdrm apt. No room to store anything I don’t use. Love them and my guests love it when I tell them to use them. They are more special then my special towels. 😹😹😹 I also made those towel wraps as well. Great ideas. 😹💝🥰🤗
I like the decorative towels. Like you said , it just helps tie everything together. So pretty and so many options to choose from. I've seen ( yrs ago) where ppl will take a pretty printed towel and use about half of one and put it on an embroidery hoop leaving an opening at the bottom. Then put coordinating lace or white late all around the embroidery hoop. The opening at the bottom, put your matching towel in it. Use it or just use it for decor only. Hope all of that made sense. I love these diys. So pretty.

My mother did the same. She rearranges furniture. Never knew how the house would look when we got back from school. She had my Dad move walls, and add additions . We went from a 3 bedroom 1 bath house to a 6 bedroom house with 3 baths. I played musical bedrooms with my sisters. I had 3 different bedrooms before I moved out. . I miss my Mom.

Good to see you again! The only thing harder than doing the work is not doing the work! When my kids were small, we each had our own towel bars and rings and used the towels several times before laundering. Sure slowed down the transmission of common colds!

Many years ago I fussy cut floral fabric and adhered it to towels. Buttonhole all around. Still some of my favorite towels.

I like the decorative towels. Like you said , it just helps tie everything together. So pretty and so many options to choose from.
I've seen ( yrs ago) where ppl will take a pretty printed towel and use about half of one and put it on an embroidery hoop leaving an opening at the bottom. Then put coordinating lace or white late all around the embroidery hoop. The opening at the bottom, put your matching towel in it. Use it or just use it for decor only.
Hope all of that made sense.

Cute ideas. We have a Willow also. She is a red brindle dachshund, about the same color as your Willow. I love your puppies❤❤.
My mother did the same. She rearranges furniture. Never knew how the house would look when we got back from school. She had my Dad move walls, and add additions . We went from a 3 bedroom 1 bath house to a 6 bedroom house with 3 baths. I played musical bedrooms with my sisters. I had 3 different bedrooms before I moved out. . I miss my Mom.

Kelly, have you ever seen or made the bathrobe for cool weather? Takes three bath towels. One for the top of the robe,and one for the back, and one for the front. Made one years ago.

Good to see you again! The only thing harder than doing the work is not doing the work! When my kids were small, we each had our own towel bars and rings and used the towels several times before laundering. Sure slowed down the transmission of common colds!
