This has been the intro of one of the best narratives arcs of our D&D campaign. Six real life months, climbing the damn highest mountain of the world, only to find the saddest of the truths. Each time that I hear this song, I remember the snow, the pain and all the difficulties that only our characters really lived. "We walk, where no one wants to go, on this untraveled road."
@@MichaelCherednichenko It's a 6 years campaign, a little too long to describe in a comment. Anyway, the Dragon God, one of the creators of the world and patron of magic, exiled himself on the tallest mountain of the region. The top half of the mountain itself is made of the bones of thousands of dead dragons that have been massacred ages ago. We climbed the mountain to seek the truth about the creation of the world.
I remember when I first heard this band it was when I was in the hospital for 2 months from a brain surgery to remove a cyst so I would like to thank you thousand foot krutch for making me feel happy.
This is my anthem. Every time when I'm tired and my body is failling me - this song will always remember me that I will never surrender no matter what or who. I'm slav, I'm pole and my blood or soul have no bounds.
Darkstar263 this singer used to be teh lead singer of linkin park, check out some of linkin parks old songs. Another group that sounds like this is fort minor, yes its this singer in that band.
CharliePetersonTv Now that you mention it, that voice does sound familiar now. I'm a fan of Linkin Park too. I can't believe I didn't notice it before.
Yeah CharliePetersonTv is wrong, Thousand Foot Krutch has neen my favourite band for years. The singers name is Trevor McNevan, I've met him, he's pretty awesome.
One of the best TFK songs I've ever heard. The knowledge that just one voice, one life, can be used by God to stir up sleeping giants and make whole nations stand up for the Lord, is incredible and inspiring. Plus, I love the chorus as well: "When we scream, our lips don't make a sound; we walk, with feet on solid ground; we walk where no-one wants to go, on this untraveled road." How true and awesome.
@@derbyjr well i mean a really good song can mean many thing this guy is just pointing to god you could choose to ignore it and go with your own way of thinking the song
One faith, the voice of the heavenly father fills me up with strength. We March with feet on solid ground(the gospel). Sleeping giants rise as God speaks. We walk an unraveled road because God takes us into unknown territory and those born of the spirit? Impossible to know where and when they will be. This is as Christian as it gets and I live it.
Damn, these guys became huge real fast! I discovered them in 2012 through an AMV, and they were one of the first bands I started listening to. At the time War Of Change barely had any views, now it has like 6M views! Glad to see these guys going big!
Bought your guys cd, the end is where we begin, 3 years ago, been listening, finally heard it for the first time this past week, WOW! Keep planting those seeds brothers. Feel like everything yall make is another anthem for me now. SOLDIERS!!!
I was lucky enough to catch these guys live at their Grand Rapids Winter Jam spot, and they're honestly one of the best live bands I've seen. Major props to Trevor for the asbolute energy.
This song is for God's people the children of the light the children of God the salt of the world and the untraveled road means the secret road that leads to salvation
I remember when I first heard the intro to this song, with the lightly distorted guitar and the claps, shivers ran down my spine, I thought to myself, "This is about to be a freaking amazing song..." I was right...
Speaking of which; am I the only one who is confused by the title of that song? I mean, "E for Extinction" was never actually in the lyrics. Still love it, though!
Noah R I think it has a very deep meaning. One of which I'm not gonna go into detail explaining because I would probably butcher it. But if you keep the tittle in mind while listening to the lyrics, it can make sense.
Bless these band! This is an awesome song on an album that seems to range from Pop Rock and ballads all the way to Hard Rock. Untraveled Road and In My Room are amazing! Absolutely awesome music and truth in lyrics! Keep up the good fight brothers!
Those of you that view TFK as a band that simply makes music may not agree with me here, but here are my thoughts on this new sound. Thousand Foot Krutch is the proof that a band is not their music, but their purpose. I have followed literally all their albums, and each one brings in a new piece of who they are. Not a distant band, but a group of guys who strives to spread their flame and love for their Lord to all they interact with. TFK has never stuck to one genre of music, and I don't blame them, because heart has no single genre. That being said, while Welcome to the Masquerade is my favorite album Musically, I think this album will be my favorite Lyrically.
If "Be Somebody" didn’t exist, this would EASILY be my favorite song by TFK. They have so many good ones, but "Be Somebody" and "Untraveled Road" are my favorites. I hope I'm not the only one to say that their music got me through some dark times. Especially with "Be Somebody"
I love this guys! Even if this is the only one like it on the new album, I love that you're paying homage to your rap rock roots here. Really great, thank for sharing your music!
to all those who are listening to this for the first time or are still listening to this music...your taste in music is flawless.
