I Love the comparison of Oikawa and Kagemyama in here. It's obvious why Oikawa is the conductor and it fits his character perfectly and needs not much further explanation. Whereas Tobio plays the drums, which are the crucial part for the rythm within a band. Like the drummer is responsible for keeping a steady rythmn and being a reliable source for all the other instruments, but whenever Kageyama becomes stressed, he starts to rush his rhythm until the ohter musicans can't keep up with him. Nice parallel^^ (and of course thank you for giving Asahi the Saxophone, it fits too well^^)
mhm it is truly brilliant! i love how everyone`s instruments fit them so wonderfully daichi is the trombone of course, deep but powerful just like everyone one the team looks to him as the leader! he is always present there and nobody doubts that I thought it was really cute how Suga got the trumpet, but the more I think about it, it makes sense! he is cheerful and encouraging just like the sound of the instrument and a source of energy to the team! asahi on the saxophone really had me in awe, it sounds so amazing! the one thing we all recognize behind asahi is his powerful spikes, just like how unique of a instrument the saxophone is itself NOYA ON THE BASS, OH HELL YEAAAAH, that is so perfect, never doubted it for a moment! just like kageyama keeps the rhythm in the front on the drums, whom other than the bass keeps the rhytym in the back? just like noya does as the libero! PERFECTION tanaka on the guitar? oh yess, he is loud and energetic, he always makes his presence noticed by everyone around him! that`s why as the guitar which is always visible he fits the description as well! ennoshita with the cymbals surprised me, but after some thinking and rewatching the series, I realized why it fits so smoothly! ennoshita and dachi are both leaders, while everyone trusts Daichi because of his reliability, ennoshita works on this. the cymbals gives assistance and helps keep the rhythm. ennoshita with the cymbals represents his own newfound reliability yamaguchi on the maracas is so freaking adorable lemme tell you that! I truly realized the importance of him having them after learning more about his jump floater serve. even though the pinch server, the maracas, may not always be recognized, it`s the impact they leave in the end that truly shines through. just like when yama either scores or misses, it can impact the team, he is not invisible tsukishima, ah yes, the pianist… I read someone mentioning that the piano was the trickiest instrument and they have a point, playing piano requires a lot of practice and concentration. this is EXACTLY what tsukki does on the court! he analyzes and keeps up the defense in the front as the middleblocker, the trickiest part! that`s why the piano suits him and just like you said, kageyama on the drums fits so well too, as he is the main part of the team`s rhythm as the balance keeper. his mood and stress effects everyone as the setter who controls the ball hinata as the dancer, pretty cool i`d say! he is always noticed and in the front, I don`t have much else to say about it! hope you enjoyed my summary on this because you inspired me to write this
Funny thing is, Karasuno really showed that from the very moment they reenter the stage. They are all so chaotic I can't help but re-watch that scene again and again 😂
Some of my fav parts: 1:30 - our princess uwu 1:50 - bunny kenma hoppin 2:15 - i can't even begin; just rewind this part and look at them all -w- 2:30 - that sMOoth transition to suga woOW 2:49 - asahi bein proud of nishinoya 3:18 - tsuki jammin with such a straight face 3:25 - TSUKI as a CHAIR actually the whOle thing was too good.
My favorite OP!!! I have always loved how in each of the openings, they introduce each character with a panel from the manga, but I really liked W&L's motif with the conductors, it worked very well, especially for the opening! Tanaka being the electric guitar was PERFECT! It really matches his energy. As well as Tsukishima being the keyboard player, in my opinion one of the most complicated instruments, and it fits his logical mind perfectly. Iwazumi being the drums was also perfect, it really fits his powerful presence on the court as well as in Oikawa's life. I was a little confused as to why Kageyama and Suga were both playing instruments tho? (Suga I get a little, but if Oikawa was conducting, shouldn't Kags as well?) Regardless, I absolutely LOVED this opening!! Thanks for sharing!
Kageyama isn't exactly someone like Oikawa. In my opinion, Kageyama isn't someone who brings out the potential of the other players, but rather enhances it in a sense? Oikawa is someone who, together with his game sense and skills, brings out the potential of the team, making sure each and everyone of them can give their best whereas Kageyama adds to their talents instead of bringing it out completely. Does that make sense?
On that note I love how Nishinoya plays the bass guitar since bass players often tend to fuse into the back a little bit more but they still are essential in adding to the rhythm and carrying the base chords/tone to of the song but also for creating a counterpoint and giving the whole thing a solid background. It matches with Noya's theme of holding the team's back. ;)
1:29 Oikawa’s not just a conductor in this moment. His teammates are kneeling before him like he’s their king. Raising his hands as if to simultaneously say “Raise your instruments” and “Rise, my knights” is genius

ネコマのときにゲームのピコピコ音入ってて感動した
そして研磨と黒尾が倒してる敵キャラも烏っていうのが感動した
影山がドラム叩いたあと座られてたツッキーが背中を払っててしっかりツッキーだった(語彙力低下)
達成と共に現場卒業したので生で見たのはこの公演が最後...今でもあんなに終始鳥肌立ちっぱの舞台はないなと感じる。
これからも行くことは無いかなと思うけど今の生活を語る上で劇団ハイキューは私の中で必要不可欠。良い作品だよね
