I was very pleased. I went to another park about 10 minutes away immediately after this. Called CQ for over 2 hours and made only 4 QSOs in that time. While I’m new to CW and POTA, it was my first ever failed activation (my 18th activation attempt). So the solar conditions eventually got the better of me!

I had procrastinated buying one until I saw he announced his retirement. Then I acted fast and snagged one! Glad I did it’s an incredible radio.
10 QSOs in 11 minutes is pretty dang good for solar storm conditions.
