DIY TANK DRESS from a tank top and 2 rectangles | Super easy & beginner friendly sewing project

Hi everyone,
Welcome or welcome back to my channel. My name is Jess and I love doing DIY, making clothes in a "simply but pretty" way.
In today's video, I'm going to share with you how I made a Tank dress. This dress is a combination between a tank top and a cotton dress that I made out of 2 rectangles. That's why it's a super easy and beginner friendly sewing project that you can finish just in a day.
To make this DIY, please check out some of my basic information below:
- Sewing machine: Brother Auto Tension.
- Material: a tank top (with stretching fabric) and 2m of cotton fabric
- My body measurements: 80-66-92 (bust-waist-hip). I'm 165cm and usually wear Small size.

This is beautiful. This can also be done with Tshirts with sleeves for those of us who may not have the nicest arms, or if we want something where a sleeveless dress may not be suitable. And there are so many ways to personalise this kind of dress. Its simple but brilliant!!

You saved me from giving away my two midi/maxi silk skirts. My upper body is short and legs, like a giraffe😁 I don't wear the skirts, because any t-shirt looks not good (the fit) with the skirts. Thank you so much and I definitely will get the tank tops. The only question is: if the skirt is pleated and has an elastic around the waist, can we do the same ???

If the skirt has an elastic around the waist, it's better to remove the elastic before connecting the skirt to the top. Then adding a new elastic there later.
