I still ride my 1998 Klein Quantum Race. It provides a stiff and very precise ride. That bike goes wherever you point it and the fact it doesn't flex too much provides lots of confidence.
Labels are de-bossed. Use a crayon on the deep scratches. I own 4 kleins, quantum pro, quantum race, a performance, and the bike hanging on Sheinfelds wall, a pinnacle. Good video.
that frame wasn't made in the same trek factory (per the silver tag on the down tube), they still built them in klein's factory for a few years after the acquisition. beautiful bikes.
It was sad to see what Trek did with Klein. Who knows how long the brand could have survived in its original structure. The Klein Attitude, in my opinion, is still the best hardtail I’ve ever ridden. The balance of that frame was incredible.
Take a Shimano positron shift wire, cut it in two pieces, make a little hook on each end, and than, make a connection, inside the frame, it works, for safe🤣😂👍‼️

Sorry! The only cool KLEIN Bikes, were those first ones, MTB Models from 1992. The Attitude and the Adroit! Intergrated bearings, and the real unique paintings! Your videos are cool, and well done! I'm bike mech too, from Bavaria. And 1992, when I was 12 years old, and owned my first Trek Antelope 820, my dream bike was a KLEIN Attitude, with a campa group, for 5000 German Mark😂😂😁👍

That's right they were still making some at Chehalis, WA

Trying putting together a Quantum in Purple Haze with Chorus 12s. And of course I dropped the brake cable!!! It will take some time....

Sweet video. Still riding a (upgraded) Klein Quantum Race (Silvercloud) almost daily. Just cannot part with it!
I have ridden a few Klein bikes over the years. I do have a hard tail 26”er that I will not part with. Lol always looking for Kleins to refinish.

That's not a real Klein, that's a Trek. Nice bike but real Klein's are very special.
