I cannot find words in any language that explains the feelings that I have listening, watching and absorbing this unique cultural experience. Africa's art and music is in all of our souls...we are all one, Love from the beautiful Island of Barbados.
Translation:my brothers listen, I married a beautiful wife but her characters were very bad, she destroyed all utensils in the house ,my brothers advised me to take her back to her parents they can't tolerate her behaviours.
It really breaks my heart to see these talented people being so poor...like his famous dad. Africa in a nutshell for you...while thuggish politicians/civil servants steal everything!!
No words to explain to such sweet and cool music from my agemates,it reminds of the yester times,Lete raha jameni.bado the music still reigns, wanatesa !!!
Thanks to YOU TUBE. At least these guys can upload their songs and start earn something from us viewers. Those days they were just recording songs send them to KBC and they were sometimes not paid.
At least this one doesn't go with shakers-- 2kg gorogoro tins, burned &poked with nails , then filled with okwato seeds! You needed to hear it shaken . You'd think heaven is coming down! I had relatives who played solo gita such as the late Okello Abanja, Otieno Naftally, Agonda & Wandago Achapo.
Who owns this channel? Would like to know if these wonderful legendary artists get some money when youtube pays. Because clearly this is not their channel. I hope hawatumiki alafu mwisho wanatoka bure.

This teaches us one lesson. Creativity does not need sophistication. Just simple things. George Mukabi was this simple.
Though I think the original song was done by John Mwale who was another great musician of that era and not George Mukabi.
