A journey through history and nature in the Rieti area - Latium - Italy

An itinerary among history, nature and tradition. We start from Rieti, in the center of Italy, a town immersed in nature and surrounded by the beauty of the Natural Reserve of Lakes Lungo and Ripasottile. Continuing on to the small medieval village of Cantalice, on the slopes of Mount Terminillo. Thanks to the help of a local guide, we discover the Sorgenti di Santa Susanna, part of the Nature Reserve. Not far away, we come across the village of Poggio Bustone, birthplace of one of the greatest Italian singer-songwriters, Lucio Battisti. But this village also preserves the sanctuary founded by Saint Francis. On the western slopes of Terminillo, the journey continues to discover the medieval village of Rivodutri, place of passage of the Saint in which the story of the beech and the donkey is told. Returning towards Rieti we visit two true excellences of the territory: Fonte Cottorella and Torrefazione Faraglia.

Rieti bellissimo video bellissime foto grazie vado molto spesso al Terminillo avendo un piccolo appartamento nei primi anni 1984 si presentava molto bene belli i negozi pizzerie ristoranti andando avanti con gli anni ho visto un abbandono di tutto dalle attività di ristorazione oggi 2023 è stata chiusa anche la farmacia essenziale per un posto di villeggiatura estiva così se ai bisogno di una cosa urgente devi scendere a vazia poi per non parlare di tanti edifici abbandonati da anni che sono ruderi ricoperti da erbacce che fanno male alla vista solo a vedere questo scempio ambientale rilanciare la montagna di Roma è importante per tutta la provincia 😭😭😭
