    Wow dude!!! That is some ingenuity to build an adapter plate from scratch to mate k24 engine to a W58 transmission. Incredible! Great video to anybody roasts you for not being safe or not using the proper safety equipment they can go to hell. Yes, I know that you're supposed to be safe when working but sometimes we have to do what we have to do to get things done. Great job! Sam!

      Oh yeah, I was just curious, are you going to use the JSP Fab K24 mount kit, and also have you checked out Xcessive Manufacturing W58 tranny mounts to see if they can be applied to you application? Or you just going to custom make everything?

    Nice work. Maybe could have used a circle jig with the router and making steps down in the plate. They are probably bits that handle aluminum without clogging. Less time consuming.

    super impressive work, im currently on a budget build mounting a miata trans to the 4ac, luckily i have access to 3D measuring systems and milling machines it’s incredible to see you do this in your garage

    For the people doing this in the future, to save time and ease your way you can also use tranfer plugs.

    🔥👍I'm watching for sure, I have a 1984 Toyota Celica GTS coupe and planning on a K24/W58 or K24/ar5 transmission. I already have a W58 in my Celica. Keep up the great work

      Chris Galler I would be very interested in information on your build. Over here in the Philippines it is much easier to source a W50 then a W58 or any of the other Aluminum case W series transmission. Over here the only aluminum case similar to a W is the G52 which are pretty common.

    You should try the 4ac bellhousing to the w58 transmission. The starter is in the same side like the k24, compare to the w58 bellhousing is in the right side. Looking forward to keep viewing more of this project !

      I live in the Philippines where we have the Toyota Tamaraw Fx. They use a G52 transmission these have the same pattern where the bellhousing bolts to the transmission case as the W58. The engine they used was the 5k or 7k. Would one of these work? The heaviest duty transmission they used over here with the 4age is the T50 like my 13t uses. I don't think this transmission would be strong enough?

    just a tip for the future aluminum acts a lot like wood when it comes to hand tools, metal blades clog fast. for your circle do 1/2'' mdf circle, use a router bit with a bearing and have at her. good job on the video!

    U left out alot. Did u do this all yourself, or did some one do it for u? You cut out the center before you marked the trans side, then the boly holes just majically appeared.

    Harbor freight has good equipment just make you buy the extended warranty. So you can just exchange it

    Really impressiv. But i have one question. How do you determind the thickness of the plate itself. Did you putbthe gearbox on the engine and saw how much it was sticking into the bearing?

  • @daffarpermana

    can i know what flywheels and clutch kit that u end up using on this setup?

  • @Ronin6534
    @Ronin6534 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Great work but when it comes to engines and transmissions use proper equipment. One for safety 2nd so it doesn't fall over a crack or break something important. Harbor freight has a transmission jack that scissors up so you can get the transmission exactly where you need it and a engine holder is 80.00 so you can have it on wheels to move and attach the transmission to it. Work smarter and safer

    I noticed you used a k series torque converter to center the w58 to the adapter.
    Did the w58 input shaft center precise enough on the female splines of the torque converter? I have a w58 and would like to mate a k series to it.
    Also nice work, almost a human CNC machine.

    • @samsgarage2111
      @samsgarage2111  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thankyou. And no the torque converter actually got in the way i had to get the center based off of the center of the actual engine
