A police officer's role is to protect the public from the activities incited by the devil and all his minions. I’m not so sure it’s as clear cut as that. States can be evil - mostly under Satans influence - and then their police will be evil too. For instance the Apartheid police force in South Africa. Or police can violate their call and be corrupt - think of the connection between sexual violence, bribery, and the Vice Squad in the 70s. So it’s not like the police are purely on Gods side and those they tackle are purely evil
